Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Donaueschingen

    The cycling holiday along River Danube starts in Donaueschingen, characterized by the baronial Fürstenbergische Residence. Example of hotel: Hotel zum Hirschen in Donaueschingen
  • Day 2 - From Donaueschingen to Mühlheim/Fridingen, approx. 45-50 km

    The cycle route along River Danube leads along flat paths through a region called “Baar”. After Tuttlingen the valley slowly narrows and you enjoy cycling to Baden-Württemberg Beuron famous Benedictine Monastery. Example of hotel: Hotel-Gasthaus Sonne in Fridingen
  • Day 3 - From Mühlheim/Fridingen to Sigmaringen/Scheer, approx. 40-55 km

    The bike route leads through the „Danube breakthrough“, where River Danube and the cycle path lead to Sigmaringen. Enjoy an interesting guided tour of the residence palace, which still is inhabited today. Example of hotel: Hotel Restaurant Donaublick in Scheer
  • Day 4 - From Sigmaringen/Scheer to Obermarchtal/Ehingen, approx. 40-70 km

    Cycling along River Danube to Zwiefaltendorf, where we recommend a side trip to the Benedictine Monastery with its beautiful baroque and rococo architecture. Example of hotel: Gasthof zum Ochsen in Ehingen
  • Day 5 - From Obermarchtal/Ehingen via Blaubeuren to Ulm, approx. 40-60 km

    Today leaving the river cycling through the Danube valley to Blaubeuren. Today's final destination is Ulm with the world highest church tower. Short Version: You can also cycle directly along the River Danube to Ulm. Example of hotel: Hotel am Rathaus in Ulm
  • Day 6 - From Ulm to Lauingen, approx. 50-55 km

    The bike tour today passes between Ulm through well-kept villages you can visit the pilgrimage church in Elchingen and the rococo style Church of Our in Günzburg. Example of hotel: Hotel Kannenkeller in Lauingen
  • Day 7 - From Lauingen to Donauwörth/Wörnitzstein, approx. 40-45 km

    The villages are mainly located somewhat off the beaten track on hills protected from the river floodwaters. Those who wish can take a break from cycling in one of the well-maintained villages. Example of hotel: Landgasthof Schmidbaur in Wörnitzstein
  • Day 8 - Individual departure or extra nights

    Departure from your cycling holidays on the Danube.
Details and cancellation

Security for your booking:
As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).

Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 7 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival

If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.

Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

The liquidator is the TVA-Tourismusversicherungsagentur GmbH, Baumannstraße 9/8, A-1030 Vienna, Email: abwicklung@tourismusversicherung.at, 24-hour emergency number: +43 1 361907744.
Travelers have to contact the liquidator within 8 weeks if they are denied claims due to the insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH. Details on the business license of OÖ Touristik GmbH can be found on the website https://www.gisa.gv.at/abfrage under the GISA number 14930096.

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
