Day 1 - Individual arrival in Vienna
Check-in and handover of your travel documents for your cycle holiday. Enjoy an evening stroll through the beautiful inner city or visit one of Vienna's traditional wine taverns the so-called Heurigen. Handover of your rented bike as well as some further information on your bike tour through Austria, Slovakia and Hungary before you start. The National Park of the Danube meadows starts right at the access of Vienna, where an idyllic landscape with a great variety of fauna and flora awaits you. Cycle past Castle Ort and Castle Eckartsau onto the spa resort Bad Deutsch Altenburg where already the Romans left their traces. The Danube flows embedded through the Hainburg Mountains and the small Karpaten. The Slovakian capital Bratislava enchants with its charming old town, many impressive buildings and its fascinating fortress high above the Danube. The Schütt Island is a paradise for birds and fish admits untouched landscape with small islands, idyllic farm villages and a labyrinth with side arms of the Danube. After a short train ride at the confluence of three rivers you reach Györ with a beautiful old baroque town. Tip: We encourage you to take the train for the length between Mosonmayarovar und Györ. The train tickets can be bought from the Tickets automat in the train station and it costs 1 Euro pro drive. The cycling tour would be only 50 km for the day. The National stud Bábolna is world famous for Arabian horses breeding. Through rolling hills of the agrarian area return to the Danube to the parted town of Komarom, King Matthews favourite city. Enjoy cycling along the waterfront of the Slovakian Danube on causeways and low-traffic side roads through small farmer villages past the Roman castle of Kelematia. A true highlight of this bike route is the Bishop – and Emperor City Esztergom with Hungarian's largest basilica. Amidst rolling hills the river parts and your cycle route leads through idyllic villages along Szentendre Island. Countless small handcraft shops and the open-air museum Skanzen made this picturesque town on the mainland world famous. During a boat trip a special highlight is to enjoy the view onto the famous and impressive buildings of Budapest. After breakfast there is time for a short city tour (facultative).

As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
In case the booking is changed from the customer himself (change of date, duration of the tour or participant) up to 28 days prior arrival, a handling fee of € 50,- per booking is charged.
Thereafter the previous cancellation conditions apply. Such a change of booking is only in individual cases a possibility customers do not have a claim on it.

The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
