Day 1 - Arrival in Passau
Individual arrival in the three-river city of Passau. After moving into your room, you will receive your travel documents at the hotel, rental bikes will be handed over at the nearby bike rental.

Your cycle tour along the Danube Cycle Path in Austria begins with a leisurely stage through the wild and romantic Upper Danube Valley. On your cycle tour, you will experience impressive nature as you cycle past Engelszell Abbey - famous for its Trappist liqueurs - which is well worth seeing. The destination of your cycling holiday is the impressive Schlögener Schlinge - a unique natural phenomenon and the highlight of every cycling holiday.

After a restful night, you continue your cycle tour along the Danube cycle path. Through wooded hills and the fertile Eferding Basin to the lively cultural city of Linz. As you cycle, you will experience the successful combination of old town charm and modern architecture on the Danube - a real highlight of your cycle tour and a special moment on your cycling holiday.

Take your time in the morning for a sightseeing tour of Linz before continuing your cycle tour along the Danube Cycle Path towards Strudengau. On this stage, you cycle through tranquil meadow landscapes and reach the picturesque town of Grein with its historic town centre and Austria's oldest theatre in the afternoon.

You continue your cycling holiday along the Danube cycle path, past castles and small villages. The imposing Melk Abbey soon appears - a cultural highlight of your tour that you should definitely not miss. The unique cultural landscape of the Wachau begins in Melk.

A day for connoisseurs: your cycle tour along the Danube Cycle Path takes you through the most famous places in the Wachau such as Spitz, Weißenkirchen and Dürnstein. Cycling through this region turns your tour into a culinary experience. In Krems, rustic wine taverns invite you to enjoy a cosy stop for a regional snack with a view of the vineyards on your holiday.

The last stage takes you along the Danube – first by train from Tulln to the Austrian capital Vienna. Once you arrive there, your cycling holiday ends with world-famous sights such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, Schönbrunn Palace and the traditional coffee house culture - a crowning finale to your cycling holiday.

After an eventful week, you will start your return journey to Passau. In seasons A and B, the return journey is comfortably by train (please note: own bikes are not included). In season C, you can travel comfortably back to Passau by bus – bike transport is included here. Alterna-tively, a return journey by train is possible on request. Extend your stay in Vienna to end your Danube trip in peace and quiet.

Parking on a cycling holiday on the Danube Cycle Path:
In Passau, the car can be parked in a parking garage for the duration of the cycle tour.
Locked and covered car park: € 13 per day
Parking garage with E-connection: € 13 per day plus € 32 one-time charging fee
Fenced and uncovered garage courtyard: € 9 per day
(Parking garage or parking space must be reserved in advance with the bike tour booking, payable on site)
Note for people with reduced mobility:
The cycle tour is generally not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, individual customer requests are possible in individual cases (e.g. handicapped accessible rooms).
Passport and visa requirements:
A valid passport or ID card is required for hotel check-in.
Special entry requirements may apply to foreign citizens (outside the Schengen area). Each traveller is responsible for obtaining a visa in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival
If the customer changes the travel date up to 28 days before departure, we charge a processing fee of € 50.00 per booking. Thereafter, the cancellation conditions apply. Such a rebooking can only be made according to the possibilities in individual cases; the customer has no claim to this

The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

The liquidator is the Europäische Reiseversicherung AG, Kratochwjlestraße 4, 1220 Wien, Email: info@europaeische.at, 24-hour emergency number: +43 1 3172500.
Travelers have to contact the liquidator within 8 weeks if they are denied claims due to the insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH. Details on the business license of OÖ Touristik GmbH can be found on the website https://www.gisa.gv.at/abfrage under the GISA number 14930096.
