Day 1 - Individual arrival in Vienna

You start your new stage of the cycle tour on the Danube Cycle Path in Bratislava and immerse yourself in a paradise for birds and fish, the Schüttinsel. In the midst of the untouched landscape with small islands you will find a labyrinth of Danube side arms and dreamy farming villages. Today's destination of the cycle tour on the Danube is Mosonmagyarovar, the city of 17 bridges. A contrast to this is the flourishing industrial city of Györ at the confluence of the Danube, Rába and Rábca. The destination of today's cycle tour along the Danube Cycle Path in Hungary can be reached after a short train ride. Komarom was the favorite city of King Matthias. Tip: We encourage you to take the train for the length between Mosonmayarovar und Györ. The train tickets can be bought from the Tickets automat in the train station and it costs 1 Euro pro drive. Today your bike tour in Hungary takes you along the banks of the Danube on causeways and side roads with little traffic. You pass small farming villages, the Roman fort of Kelemantia and finally reach the bishop and royal town of Esztergom, which with the basilica as the largest church in Hungary is a brilliant highlight of this cycle tour on the Danube Cycle Path. Public parking garage = Park & Ride: approx. € 25,00 per week, unguarded, at Leopoldau underground station.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
