Day 1 - Individual arrival in Vienna
Individual arrival in Vienna, check-in at your accommodation and handover of travel documents for your cycling tour along the Danube Cycle Path. The first evening is yours to spend as you wish. How about a stroll through the waltz metropolis or a visit to a typical Viennese wine tavern.

After picking up your rental bikes, you will start your cycle tour through Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Leave the hustle and bustle of Vienna behind you and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the unspoilt floodplain landscape. A detour to the Carnuntum Archaeological Park invites you on an exciting journey through time. The route continues to the Slovakian capital of Bratislava, which delights visitors with its dreamy old town, numerous magnificent buildings and imposing castle high above the Danube.

Today's stage on the Danube Cycle Path starts in Bratislava and leads to Schüttinsel, a paradise for birds and fish. Passing through Danube tributaries and dreamy farming villages, you will reach Mosonmagyaróvár, known for its pretty old town, historic castle and 17 bridges over the Danube tributaries.

First, you cycle through the unspoilt nature of the Schüttinsel with its quiet oxbow lakes and ancient trees. Then you reach Györ, a lively city at the confluence of the Danube, Rába and Rábca rivers, with a Baroque old town and pretty alleys. The route continues to Komárom, once the favourite city of King Matthias. The route between Györ and Komárom can be conveniently shortened by train (approx. 45 km).

Today, your cycle tour takes you along the banks of the Danube in Hungary, mostly on embankment paths and quiet side roads. You will pass idyllic farming villages and the Roman fort of Kelemantia before reaching the bishopric and royal city of Esztergom. The basilica, Hungary's largest church, is a magnificent highlight of your cycle tour along the Danube Cycle Path.

The gently rolling landscape of the Danube Bend will enchant you on your cycling holiday in Hungary. As you cycle, you will discover idyllic villages and the charming artists' town of Szentendre with its galleries, craft shops and the famous Skanzen open-air museum. To round off your cycling holiday, enjoy a boat trip to Budapest with magnificent views of the famous sights of the Hungarian capital. Outside the boat season, the return journey is made comfortably by train.

Parking possibilities during your cycle holiday along the Danube cycle path:
Park & Ride: approx. € 25,00 per week, unguarded, at Leopoldau underground station.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

The tour operator OÖ Touristik GmbH, Freistädter Str. 119, 4041 Linz has completed a bankruptcy insurance with Raiffeisen Landesbank Oberösterreich AG, Europaplatz 1a, 4020 Linz. The liquidator is the Europäische Reiseversicherung AG, Kratochwjlestraße 4, 1220 Wien, Email: info@europaeische.at, 24-hour emergency number: +43 1 3172500.
Travelers have to contact the liquidator within 8 weeks if they are denied claims due to the insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH. Details on the business license of OÖ Touristik GmbH can be found on the website https://www.gisa.gv.at/abfrage under the GISA number 14930096.
