This offer provides you a cycling tour focusing on wine at the River Danube Cycle Path. There is much to discover on a cycling holiday along the Danube Cycle Path: the Mostviertel (the home of fruit wines), the Wachau Valley and the Kremstal Valley (widely known for Riesling and Grüner Veltliner) and the vineyards just outside Vienna.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Linz
You start the wine tour along the Danube Cycle Path in Linz on the Danube. Stroll leisurely through the historic old town up to the Castle of Linz. The Danube and the Urfahr district are at your feet. A visit of a coffeehouse with a piece of Linzer Torte is the perfect way to end the tour. The first stage on the Danube Cycle Path takes you to the Mostviertel. Orchard meadows line the path of the cycle tour in Lower Austria. The fruit of the region is processed into wonderfully sparkling fruit wine - better known as Most in Austria. Tip: A visit of the MostBirnHaus tells the story of processing to tasting in an entertaining way. Through the wild Strudengau region you cycle along the Danube cycle path, always following the river until you reach the world-famous wine-growing region of Wachau. The hotel has a cosy wine tasting in store for you. A first taste of Grüner Veltliner and Riesling will make your palate happy. On your cycling holiday in Austria you will cycle through the famous wine-growing villages of Spitz, Weißenkirchen, Dürnstein to Krems. Today, a very special experience awaits you - a fun picnic in the vineyard, stocked with regional delicacies. The wine tour along the Danube ends today with a visit of the wine experience world 'Sandgrube 13 wein.sinn' in Krems. Today you cycle along the Danube from the wine-growing region of Kremstal to the garden city of Tulln. You will reach Vienna by train. The Austrian capital is itself a wine-growing city with over 600 hectares of vineyards. Tip: Finish your wine cycling tour in Austria at a rustic Viennese wine tavern. Security for your booking:
As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

The liquidator is the Europäische Reiseversicherung AG, Kratochwjlestraße 4, 1220 Wien, Email: info@europaeische.at, 24-hour emergency number: +43 1 3172500.
Travelers have to contact the liquidator within 8 weeks if they are denied claims due to the insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH. Details on the business license of OÖ Touristik GmbH can be found on the website https://www.gisa.gv.at/abfrage under the GISA number 14930096.
