The cycle path goes past 13 lakes and the most beautiful villages of the Salzkammergut. The Cycle Way is signposted in all directions- R2 (in Upper Austria), R19 with the inscription of "Salzkammergut Radweg" (in Styria), green signposts with the inscription "Salzkammergut Radweg" (in Salzburg). Most sections of the Cycle Route are asphalt-covered. Depending on your chosen holiday offer you manage to cycle between 64 km and 357 km on your cycle tours. The Best Season
The best months to cycle the Lake District in Austria are May, June, September and October. In July and August is main season at the Salzkammergut lakes which are a favourite holiday destination in Austria.
