During your cycle vacation at Lake Constance you discover appealing landscapes, fortresses and castles. You cycle on a cycling path in Germany and Switzerland through vineyards and orchards with fantastic views over the pre-alpine landscape – almost all the time far from street noise.
Based at only one hotel you explore the region daily in another direction. By use of the ships and ferry boats of Lake Constance you get to know almost all of the lake. All daily cycle tours can be designed individually. You can plan rest days as you like. Therefore this tour is perfectly suited for families.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Constance
Arrival for your cycling holiday on Lake Constance. Use the day to explore the old town of Constance or take a trip to the famous flower island of Mainau. The Sea Life Center and the State Archaeological Museum also offer exciting insights – perfect for an enjoyable start to your cycling holiday.
Example of hotel: Hotel Halm in ConstanceDay 2 - Trip to Lindau, approx. 50 km + boat and ferry crossing
Today, you will take the ferry to Meersburg and cycle along the picturesque Lake Constance Cycle Route via Friedrichshafen, Langenargen, and Wasserburg to Lindau. The old town on the island impresses with its historic facades and a fantastic view of the Alps. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a relaxing boat trip back to Constance.Day 3 - Trip to the island of Mainau, approx. 15 km
A highlight of your cycling vacation is a visit to Mainau, the “flower island.” After a short bike ride, you will reach this natural paradise, which enchants visitors with its colorful gardens, fragrant roses, and exotic plants. In addition to the magnificent flowers, you can explore the castle, the palm garden, the butterfly house, and the idyllic arboretum—a place to marvel and unwind. (Admission not included)Day 4 - From Constance to Überlingen and Salem, approx. 55 km + boat and ferry crossing
Take the ferry from Wallhausen to Überlingen. Cycle along the lake to the magnificent Birnau monastery church with its stunning views across the water. Follow the Prälatenweg trail to Salem, where you can visit the Baroque castle and the famous Affenberg monkey mountain. Return to Constance at a leisurely pace on the car ferry from Meersburg.Day 5 - Trip to Island Reichenau and Stein am Rhein, approx. 50 km + boat crossing
Today, discover the island of Reichenau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Romanesque churches and orchards. Take the boat to the Höri peninsula and Gaienhofen, where you can visit the Hermann Hesse House. The route continues through picturesque villages such as Hemmenhofen and Stein am Rhein, known for its medieval facades, before returning to Constance.Day 6 - Individual departure

Hotel information: We make every effort to book the hotels mentioned by name. However, if one is not available, we will switch to an equivalent establishment.

You can leave your car for your cycling holiday at Lake Constance either at the starting hotel (depending on availability, subject to a charge, details in the travel documents) or in free parking spaces on public roads or in public car parks (costs approx. € 25,00/day). Furthermore, there is a fenced and locked private parking space for € 49,00 per stay and car (this parking space must be reserved and paid for in advance).
Note for people with limited mobility:
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
You do not have to make any advance payments to us up to 4 weeks before departure. Please mind the payment conditions in your booking confirmation/invoice
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival or later
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.
