Day 1 - Individual arrival in Constance
Individual arrival for your cycle holiday at Lake Constance. Take the opportunity and enjoy a walk through the beautiful old town of Constance. First you cycle along the Lake Constance cycle path over a poplar-lined causeway to the island of Reichenau. Then the bike tour in Germany leads via Radolfzell and the Höri peninsula to Stein am Rhein in Switzerland. With its town gates and colourful, frescoed houses, the little town is one of the best-preserved small medieval towns in Switzerland. Enjoy the magic of the Munot town of Schaffhausen. This unique town with medieval facades, magnificent 171 oriels and the winding alleys captivates visitors. Afterwards, follow the Rhein cycle path to the next highlight. Don't miss the impressive natural phenomenon of the Rhein Falls. At 23 meters high and 150 meters wide, it is one of Europe's largest waterfalls. The last stage of the bike tour on Lake Constance leads through picturesque fishing villages to Ermatingen, where the Vinorama Museum tempts you to visit. The cycle path in Germany then leads you directly back to Constance. Your luggage will be ready for pick-up in Constance by 5:30 pm at the latest.
Parking facilities
You can leave your car for your cycling holiday at Lake Constance either at the starting hotel (depending on availability, payment on site) or in free parking spaces on public roads. Furthermore, there is a fenced and locked private parking space for € 60,00 per stay and car (depending on availability, payment on site).
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 55,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.
