Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Friedrichshafen/surroundings

Individual arrival in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance, a lively town with a beautiful lake promenade and Zeppelin tradition. At the information point of the Hotel Föhr, you will receive your travel documents and, if booked, your rental bike.
Example of hotel: Gasthof Rebstock in Friedrichshafen
  • Day 2 - From Friedrichshafen/surroundings to the Bregenz region, approx. 35–45 km

Your cycling tour on Lake Constance begins along the lake shore and through the peaceful Argenmündung nature reserve, where the river landscape meets the lake. The route continues along picturesque lakeside paths, past small beaches and views of the Alps. Overnight stays are also possible in nearby towns such as Höchst, Lustenau, Dornbirn or St. Margrethen.
Example of hotel: Amedia Hotel in Lustenau
  • Day 3 - From the Bregenz region to Constance/Kreuzlingen, approx. 55–65 km

Today, you will cycle along the Swiss shore of Lake Constance – one of the most scenic sections of the entire Lake Constance Cycle Route. You will pass the historic harbour towns of Rorschach, Arbon and lively Romanshorn, where you will always be close to the water and numerous bathing spots invite you to linger. The destination for the day is the traditional council city of Constance, the largest city on Lake Constance.
Example of hotel: B+B Hotel in Constance
  • Day 4 - Day trip to Stein am Rhein and Radolfzell, approx. 75 km

This stage leads along the Untersee, a particularly peaceful region of Lake Constance, to the medieval town of Stein am Rhein. It is famous for its colourful facades and perfectly preserved old town houses. The route continues to Radolfzell, a charming spa town on the Untersee. Optionally, you can take a detour to the monastery island of Reichenau (island tour +15 km), where Romanesque churches and vegetable fields characterise the landscape.
Example of hotel: B+B Hotel in Constance
  • Day 5 - From Constance/Kreuzlingen to Friedrichshafen/surroundings, approx. 45–60 km

In the morning, you cycle to the world-famous island of Mainau, the ‘flower island' of Lake Constance. A visit to the park, the castle grounds or the butterfly house is always worthwhile. The route then takes you to Wallhausen, where you can catch the ferry to Überlingen. Your cycle tour continues via Unteruhldingen and Meersburg. From there, you cycle back along the lake shore to Friedrichshafen.
Example of hotel: Gasthof Rebstock in Friedrichshafen
  • Day 6 - Individual departure or extra nights

Your Lake Constance cycling tour ends after a leisurely breakfast. You can extend your trip with additional nights.

Hotel note: We make every effort to book the hotels mentioned by name. However, if one is not available, we will switch to an equivalent company.
