Itinerary

Your cycling holiday on the Lake Constance Cycle Path starts in the Austrian festival town. During the festival period (19.07.-20.08.) you can stay overnight in towns in the immediate vicinity (e.g. Wolfurt, Hard, Dornbirn). Example of hotel: Hotel Ibis
  • Day 2 - From Bregenz to Arbon/Egnach, approx. 40 km

You cycle through the Altenrhein nature reserve, the largest wetland conservation area on Lake Constance, to Staad. Via Rorschach you reach the delightful Swiss town of Arbon, which enchants visitors with its medieval town centre. Example of hotel: Hotel Frohsinn
  • Day 3 - From Arbon/Egnach to Gailingen/Ramsen, approx. 60 km

The cycle tour along the Lake Constance cycle path leads past parks and lidos to the Untersee. Tip: From the Bürglschloss lookout tower in Gailingen you can see from Vorarlberg to the Bernese Alps if the view is good. Example of hotel: Gasthof Hirschen
  • Day 4 - From Gailingen/Ramsen via Schaffhausen to Rhine Falls, approx. 30 km

On the Rhine Cycle Route you cycle to Schaffhausen, where the Munot Fortress invites you to visit. At the end of the stage on the Lake Constance cycle path, the Rhine Falls roar 23 metres into the depths. Example of hotel: Gasthof Hirschen

  • Day 6 - From Constance to Friedrichshafen, approx. 35 km, ferry ride

Take the opportunity on your cycling holiday in Germany to visit the flower island of Mainau. Then take the ferry across to Staad. If you are still in the mood, we would also recommend the Lake Dwelling Museum in Uhldingen. Example of hotel: Comfort-Hotel
  • Day 7 - From Friedrichshafen to Bregenz, approx. 35 km

On the last day of your cycling holiday at Lake Constance, you will cross the Argen estuary nature reserve, where a detour along the Argen to Laimnau (+18 km) is a good idea. Via Lindau you reach the festival town of Bregenz again on the shores of Lake Constance. Example of hotel: Hotel Ibis
  • Day 8 - Individual departure or extra nights

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
