Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Salzburg

    Check-in and you receive the travel documents for your cycling holidays. The first day of your cycling tour is at leisure to explore Salzburg. Tip: Enjoy a concert in the evening at Fortress Hohensalzburg. Example of hotel: Hotel Europa**** in Salzburg
  • Day 2 - From Salzburg to Lake Mondsee, approx. 35 km

    The handover of your rented bike (if booked) is at Hotel Amedia on your first cycling day before you leave Salzburg. Continue cycling in direction Eugendorf, along the „Ischler Trasse”, to Thalgau. The Ischler Trasse was connecting Salzburg and Bad Ischl from 1891 to 1957 and you continue your bike route towards the magnificent Drachenwand (dragon wall) before reaching Lake Mondsee.   • Day 3 - From Lake Mondsee to Bad Ischl, approx. 35 km

    Say goodbye to Lake Mondsee cycling in direction of Scharfling. Along this bike tour enjoy a breathtaking view onto Lake Wolfgang before the bike tour takes you downhill rapidly to Mozart's town, St Gilgen. Continue past Lake Wolfgang cycling along the cycle path to Bad Ischl, former summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph and many artists. Example of hotel: Hotel Goldenes Schiff**** in Bad Ischl
  • Day 4 - From Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern, approx. 35 km

    Today your bike tour brings you from Bad Ischl to Lake Hallstätter See. Explore the region by bike as well as by ship and enjoy an untouched nature of this UNESCO world heritage region. You are not far away from today's final distance. Example of hotel: Hotel Agathawirt*** in Bad Goisern
  • Day 5 - From Bad Goisern to Lake Traunsee, approx. 40 km

    Follow the cycle route along the calm river Traun returning to Bad Ischl before cycling to Lake Traunsee. Tip: Enjoy the magnificent view from the plateau of Mt. Feuerkogel in 1600m (cable car). Example of hotel: Symposionhotel Post**** at Lake Traunsee
  • Day 6 - From Lake Traunsee to Lake Attersee, approx. 45 km

    Lake Traunsee floats through between Mt. Traunstein and the Höllengebirge range and accompanies you on your bike tour to Gmunden. Take your time strolling along the lovely lake promenade with Castle Ort before cycling through the Aurachtal in direction Lake Attersee. Example of hotel: Hotel Föttinger**** at Lake Attersee
  • Day 7 - From Lake Attersee to Lake Mondsee, approx. 30 km

    Today's cycle tour in Austria leads again to Lake Mondsee. After a 2-km-long valley narrowness the Lake Mondsee presents itself. Follow the cycle path along the north bank to the village of Mondsee, where you can visit the pre-historic stilt houses and enjoy some local specialties.   • Day 8 - From Lake Mondsee to Salzburger Lake District, approx. 45 km

    Today follow the cycle route through lovely surroundings of Lake Mondsee past Lake Irrsee, before reaching the Salzburger Lake District. You like beer? We recommend a stop at the Trumer beer brewery. Example of hotel: Hotel Seewirt **** in Mattsee
  • Day 9 - From Salzburger Lake District to Salzburg, approx. 35 km

    The cycle route along the Salzburger Lake offers many lovely spots ideal for a stop and a refreshing swim, before cycling back to Salzburg, enjoying a last view onto the magnificent Salzkammergut mountain range. Example of hotel: Hotel Europa**** in Salzburg

Parking possibilities
Unfortunately car parks free of charge are very rare in Salzburg. Your arrival hotel can only offer few parking spaces (no reservation possible, first comes/first serves). Therefor we recommend parking your car at the Linzer Gasse Garage (access Glockengasse, approx. a 4 minutes’ walk to the centre) rates approx. € 70,00/week.
Every further day costs € 20,00 for 24 h (Maximum daily rate).

Security for your booking:
As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).

Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival

If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

Travelers have to contact the liquidator within 8 weeks if they are denied claims due to the insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH. Details on the business license of OÖ Touristik GmbH can be found on the website https://www.gisa.gv.at/abfrage under the GISA number 14930096.

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
