After a short transfer to the Maloja Pass, your stage begins at an altitude of around 1,800 metres. Following the Inn Cycle Route through the Upper Engadine, your cycle route takes you past Samedan, La Punt with its early Gothic church of San Andrea, and the idyllic village of Zuoz, which is famous for its intricately decorated stained-glass windows. Cycling through the impressive Engadine landscape, you will eventually reach Zernez, considered the gateway to the Swiss National Park. Round off the day with a dinner featuring regional delicacies and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Alps.
Hotel example: Hotel Bär in Zernez
  • Day 3 - From Zernez to Pfunds, approx. 65 km

Today, your cycle tour takes you first to Lavin, a mountain village that has retained its original character. The route continues along the border between the Engadin and Tyrol to Martina. You then pass the historic border post at Altfinstermünz before following the Inn Cycle Route to Pfunds. This varied stage offers impressive views of the surrounding mountains and valleys – perfect for an enjoyable cycling holiday in Switzerland and Tyrol.
Hotel example: Hotel Schöne Aussicht in Pfunds
  • Day 4 - From Pfunds to Imst, approx. 60 km

In Pfunds, known as the ‘Window of the Engadin', you begin today's cycle stage along the Inn Cycle Route. You'll cycle at a leisurely pace through the ‘Obere Gericht' region, via Ried and Prutz, to Landeck, where a historic castle and museum tell the story of the area's once-thriving trading history. The cycle route then takes you through the idyllic Milser Auen floodplains on to the spa town of Imst, which is famous for its numerous churches and the traditional Imst Carnival – a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage site. This stage combines relaxed cycling, cultural highlights and stunning natural scenery.
Hotel example: Hotel Neuner in Imst
  • Day 5 - From Imst to Innsbruck, approx. 65 km

A special cultural highlight awaits you at Stams Cistercian Abbey, with its impressive abbey church and ornate rose window. Cycling along the Inn Cycle Route, you'll ride through the Inn Valley, past small churches, ruins and idyllic villages, until you reach the Martinswand and finally arrive in Innsbruck. In the Tyrolean capital, the old town, with the Golden Roof, the City Tower, the Hofburg and the Hofgarten, invites you to take a leisurely stroll. Regional specialities in cosy inns provide a delightful conclusion to your cycling tour in Tyrol.
    Hotel example: Zach in Innsbruck
  • Day 6 - From Innsbruck to Kufstein, approx. 50 km + train ride

Leave the city behind and head into the Tyrolean Inn Valley. Cycle downstream through Hall, with its medieval old town, and past the sparkling Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens. From Brixlegg, the train takes you comfortably to Kufstein – known for its imposing fortress and the famous ‘Kufsteinlied'.
Example of hotel: Arte Hotel in Kufstein
  • Day 7 - From Kufstein to Wasserburg, approx. 65 km

You leave Tyrol behind and cycle leisurely into the Bavarian Alpine foothills. Along the embankment, through riverside woods and past orchards, you make your way to the gem on the Inn: Wasserburg, picturesquely situated in a bend of the river, with its onion-domed tower and charming pub culture that you'll fall in love with.
Example of hotel: Gasthof Paulanerstuben in Wasserburg
  • Day 8 - From Wasserburg to Mühldorf, approx. 50 km

With its rolling hills and quaint villages, the route takes you through typical Bavarian countryside. Mühldorf welcomes you with its long town square, facades adorned with Lüftlmalerei (traditional decorative painting) and a hearty snack in the beer garden – pretzels and Obazda included.
Example of hotel: Altstadthotel Wetzel in Mühldorf
  • Day 9 - From Mühldorf to Kirchdorf/Inn, approx. 45 km

After a stop in Altötting, Bavaria's most important place of pilgrimage, you will soon reach the Innviertel region in Upper Austria. The cuisine here is hearty and cosy: pork crackling dumplings, Innviertel smoked bacon and a refreshing beer await. • Day 10 - From Kirchdorf/Inn to Bad Füssing/surroundings, approx. 35 km

Example of hotel: Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Bad Füssing
  • Day 11 - From Bad Füssing/surroundings to Passau, approx. 35 km

The final stage is dotted with Baroque gems: Obernberg am Inn, Reichersberg Abbey and the colourful “Silberzeile” in Schärding. Finally, you reach Passau – with its three rivers, Italian flair and a cathedral where the sound of the world's largest cathedral organ lingers long after the music has stopped.
Hotel example: Hotel Passauer Wolf in Passau
  • Day 12 - Individual departure or extra nights
