On this cycling holiday along the Inn Cycle Path, you follow the “Green Inn” River in relaxed daily stages – from the majestic Tyrolean Alps through Upper and Lower Bavaria into the Innviertel region of Upper Austria, where the river finally joins the Danube. The route is mostly flat with some gentle hills, making it ideal for leisure cyclists and active travelers.
Along the way, you’ll discover cultural highlights and charming towns: the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck with its Golden Roof, the fortified towns of Kufstein and Burghausen, historic trading centers, the baroque jewels Obernberg and Schärding, and finally the famous Three-Rivers City of Passau. Day 1 - Individual arrival in Innsbruck
Your cycling holiday on the Inn Cycle Path begins in the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck. After checking in at your hotel, you will receive your detailed travel documents. If you have booked rental bikes, they will be handed over in the evening. Take time for a stroll through the world-famous old town: the Golden Roof, the Imperial Palace, and Maria-Theresien-Straße with its colorful facades are just some of the highlights. A traditional Tyrolean dinner is the perfect start to your bike tour in Austria.

You leave Innsbruck behind and cycle through charming towns like Hall, known for its medieval old town, and Wattens, home of the sparkling Swarovski Crystal Worlds. Always in view: the stunning Alpine panorama. At Strass, the gateway to the Zillertal Valley, the Inn Cycle Path continues to Brixlegg, where you board a short train ride to Kufstein. The “Pearl of Tyrol” awaits with its impressive fortress towering above the town.

Today you cross from Tyrol into the Bavarian Alpine foothills. The route follows levees and meanders through shady floodplain forests until you reach Wasserburg. Nestled in a river bend, this medieval town is a true jewel of the Inn Cycle Path in Bavaria. Its colorful facades, historic houses, and winding alleys create a unique atmosphere that will stay with you long after your journey.

Your ride leads through idyllic Bavarian farmland: rolling hills, traditional villages, and quiet backroads make this a particularly relaxing stage. In Mühldorf, the long main square framed by impressive townhouses reflects centuries of history. It is the perfect place for a leisurely evening stroll.

This stage is full of cultural highlights. First, you visit Altötting, Bavaria's most important pilgrimage site, followed by Marktl, birthplace of Pope Benedict XVI. Soon after, you reach Burghausen, home to the longest castle complex in Europe. From here, it's only a short ride to Kirchdorf am Inn, your stop for the night.

You can park your car in the public parking garage “Markthallen Garage” for the rate of around € 60,00/week.
Note for people with reduced mobility:
The cycle tour is generally not suitable for people with reduced mobility. However, individual customer requests are possible in individual cases (e.g. rooms suitable for the disabled).
Passport and visa requirements:
A valid passport or identity card is required for the hotel check-in.
Special entry requirements may apply for foreign nationals (outside the Schengen area). Each traveler is responsible for obtaining a visa in good time.
Payment conditions:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due no later than 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The remaining payment is due 14 days before departure.
Cancellation and withdrawal conditions:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer can withdraw from the contract in writing at any time. In the event of withdrawal or non-commencement of the trip, the following withdrawal fees apply
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from the 27th to the 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from the 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the travel price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
If the customer changes the travel date up to 28 days before departure, we charge a processing fee of € 50.00 per booking. Thereafter, the cancellation conditions apply. Such a rebooking can only be made according to the possibilities in individual cases; the customer has no claim to this.

Travelers must contact the liquidator within 8 weeks if they are denied services due to the insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH. Details of OÖ Touristik GmbH's authorization to provide travel services can be found on the website https://www.gisa.gv.at/abfrage under the GISA number 14930096.
