Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Innsbruck

Welcome to Innsbruck, three-time Olympic city. Known as a winter sports metropolis, this Alpine city delights visitors in summer with its colourful diversity. Ideal for your cycling holiday: explore cultural highlights, impressive landscapes and the special flair of Innsbruck comfortably on two wheels.
Example of hotel: Austria Trend Hotel Congress in Innsbruck
  • Day 2 - From Innsbruck to Landeck, approx. 85 km

For the first few kilometres of your cycle tour, you will follow the Inn Cycle Path, flanked by imposing mountains but almost entirely flat, to the famous Cistercian monastery in Stams and on to the Tyrolean rafting and canyoning centre in Haiming. The cycle route then climbs gently through a picturesque pine forest, where it is worth visiting the newly renovated Roman baths near Roppen. Refreshed, the cycle tour continues through the narrowing Inn Valley – first to Imst and finally on to Landeck at the foot of the Arlberg.
Example of hotel: Hotel Mozart in Landeck
  • Day 3 - From Landeck to the region Lago die Resia & Alta Venosta approx. 85 km

From Landeck, the cycle path runs alongside the Inn through the Upper Court to Pfunds. Your cycle tour then takes you around 10 kilometres through Swiss territory. From Martina in the Lower Engadin, the route climbs around 400 metres in altitude via easy serpentine bends to Norberts Höhe. After a short descent to Nauders, there is a gentle climb to the Reschen Pass, where you cross the Italian border and the main Alpine ridge. Along the Reschen reservoir – with the famous sunken church tower of Altgraun – you then cycle rapidly down towards Mals. Enjoy your first evening in South Tyrol in the historic streets of the village or, depending on room availability, in Nauders.
Example of hotel: Hotel Stocker in St. Valentin
  • Day 4 - From the region of Lago di Resia & Alta Venosta to Merano, approx. 65 km

On this section of your cycling holiday, you will cross the entire Vinschgau Valley – from around 1,200 metres in Burgeis down to around 350 metres in Merano. You will often cycle directly along the Adige River. This leisurely tour first takes you to Glurns, the smallest town in the Alpine region, then on through the marble village of Laas and Naturns to the striking Kastelbell Castle. Finally, you will reach the spa town of Merano, where you can end the day with a relaxing evening stroll along the Passer Promenade amidst subtropical flora.
Example of hotel: Hotel Flora in Merano
  • Day 5 - From Merano to nach Salurn/Mezzocorona, approx. 65-75 km

Whether it's the Sarntal Alps, the Dolomites or the Mendel Ridge – they all give the Adige Valley its characteristic shape. On your cycling tour, the cycle path winds its way along the Adige River through the fertile South Tyrolean lowlands, passes the historic Salurn Hermitage and continues into the Trentino basin. The traditional villages of this northern Italian wine region invite you to relax and unwind at the end of your day's cycling.
Example of hotel: Hotel Comfort Hotel Erica in Salurn
  • Day 6 - From Salurn/Mezzocorona to Torbole sul Garda/Region Lake Garda North, approx. 75 km

On your cycle tour, you follow the Adige River further downstream until the „Doss Trento“ with its striking rock faces reaches the river. At its foot, the historic old town of Trento awaits you with its important monuments. Further south, Rovereto – where modern architecture meets Venetian history – also offers cultural impressions for nature-loving cycle tourists. At Mori, you leave the Adige Valley, conquer the gentle climb to Passo San Giovanni (287 m) and then roll down through picturesque countryside to your destination on the shores of the deep blue mountain lake.
Example of hotel: Caravel Bike Hotel in Torbole
  • Day 7 - From Torbole sul Garda/Region Lake Garda North to Verona, approx. 80 km

With a little athletic effort, you will climb a short hill before your journey takes you back to Vallagarina. You will then continue cycling south through the increasingly gentle Etschtal valley. The slopes of the Lessini Mountains draw closer once again, but the hilltop offers a magnificent view of the Valpolicella wine hills north of Verona. Finally, you roll energetically along the Adige canals into the much-praised, music-loving city of Verona.
Example of hotel: Hotel San Marco in Verona
  • Day 8 - Individual departure or extra nights

After breakfast, individual departure or return transfer by minibus to Innsbruck possible.

Hotel note: We make every effort to book the hotels mentioned by name. However, if one is not available, we will switch to an equivalent company.
