Day 1 - Individual arrival in ToursIndividual arrival for your cycle holiday in France. In the afternoon you will receive detailed tour information as well as your bike (if booked). Afterwards enjoy a stroll through Tours with its impressive cathedral. Example of hotel: Grand Hotel in Tours
Day 2 - From Tours to Chinon, approx. 60 kmToday you start your bike tour in the Loire Valley and follow the River Cher until you reach the Castle Villandry with its magnificent garden and the terraced gardens, bowers, fountains and much more. Afterwards during your cycle tour in France you continue to visit Castle Langeais, once exclusively used for the military purposes. So it is not surprising that you will climb up the military tower and enjoy an incredible view across the surroundings. Along your bike route to Chinon you cycle past Castle Ussé which rises like a ‘Sleeping Beauty's Castle' out of an execrated wood. Example of hotel: Hotel Plantagenet in Chinon
Day 3 - Round trip Fontevraud l´Abbaye, approx. 55 kmThe cycle path along the Vienne leads you to the small village of Candes-St. Martin, the place of death of holy Martin. In Montsoreau you become a witness of an immense nature spectacle during your cycle holiday in France: the confluence of the River Vienne with the mighty River Loire. Continue your bike tour in the Loire Valley through lovely vineyards to Fontevraud l'Abbaye whose completely preserved medieval cloister arrangement draws visitor from all over the world. Day 4 - From Chinon to Azay-le-Rideau, approx. 35 kmBefore you leave Chinon, enjoy a stroll through its medieval lanes. Afterwards you start your third cycling day in France past old vineyards and remote villages to one of France most beautiful villages Crissay, with its picturesque houses from the 15th century. The Renaissance Castle Azay-le-Rideau is one of the best known castles of the Loire and a real jewel which you should not miss to visit during your cycle holiday. Day 5 - From Azay-le-Rideau to Chenonceaux, approx. 60 kmToday a true highlight awaits you on your cycle tour in France. You cycle through the romantic river landscape of the Indre before you reach Montbazon. The bike route continues up a small climb to reach the valley of the River Cher and you finally arrive along country roads in Chenonceaux. The Chenonceaux Castle is the most beautiful castle of all Loire castles and impresses with its splendid castle park. Example of hotel: Hotel La Roseraie in Chenonceaux
Day 6 - From Chenonceaux to Blois, approx. 75 kmOn the cycle day before the last of your cycle holiday in France you can choose the distance of your cycle route freely: The shorter version leads to the Castle Chaumont and further on to the romantic cycle path along the Loire to Blois where another castle awaits your visit. Or you choose a longer stage via Montrichard, Cheverny, Villsavine to the Castle Chambord. Day 7 - From Blois to Tours, approx. 70 kmYou follow through the Loire Valley on today's cycle route without any hurry the flowing river, flanked by chalk stone walls still accommodates inhabited rock flats. The final castle is the Castle Amboise during your bike tour in France. The mighty royal castle served five kings and a Roman emperor as a residence. Day 8 - Individual departure or extra nights
Security for your booking:
As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 42 days before arrival date
25% of the tour price from 41th to 22th day before arrival date
40% of the tour price from 21th to 15th day before arrival date
60% of the tour price from 14th to 1 day before arrival date
90% of the tour price day of arrival or No-Show
If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

Travelers have to contact the liquidator within 8 weeks if they are denied claims due to the insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH. Details on the business license of OÖ Touristik GmbH can be found on the website https://www.gisa.gv.at/abfrage under the GISA number 14930096.
