Take your time for a stroll through the old town of Radstadt amidst beautiful scenery. Example of hotel: Hotel Brüggler in RadstadtDay 2 - From Radstadt to Gröbming, approx. 45 km
River Enns is a narrow river at the beginning and towards Styria enjoy the breathtaking view onto the south walls of Mt. Dachstein before cycling to Schladming, location of the skiing world cup. The village broadens and now your cycle route continues leisurely with just one short climb to Gröbming. Example of hotel: Hotel Amadeus in GröbmingDay 3 - From Gröbming to Admont, approx. 60 km
Cycling through the wide Ennstal valley a splendid view of the Gesaeuse Mountain peaks opens up and a visit of the magnificent Benedictine Monastery with the world's largest sacral library in Admont, is well worth visiting. Example of hotel: Hotel Spirodom in AdmontDay 4 - From Admont to St. Gallen, approx. 50 km
Along your bike route the valley becomes narrower today. The water of the River Enns gushes out of narrow gorges of the National Park “Gesaeuse”. The 20 km long gorge is certainly one of Austria's best natural spectacles. Example of hotel: Hotel Hensle in St. GallenDay 5 - From St. Gallen to Großraming, approx. 50 km
Leave the impressive Fortress Gallenstein cycling in direction of Upper Austria with the grand mountains and forests from the National Park Kalkalpen. Animals in danger of extinction like lynxes and eagles still live here. Use the included bus transfer for the drive-up to the Mooshöhe. (19km, 500 a.d.) Example of hotel: Hotel Kirchenwirt in GroßramingDay 6 - From Großraming to Steyr, approx. 40 km
In the heyday of the iron trade, the River Enns was of great economic importance. Raw ore was shipped on rafts to feitel makers and knifemakers. Take a break on your cycle tour along the Enns Cycle Path to explore the museums and show mines. Get to know at first hand how ore was once processed into trade goods. Hotel example: Stadthotel Styria in SteyrDay 7 - From Steyr to Linz, approx. 60 km
In the romantic town of Steyr, the Enns joins the waters of the Steyr to form an impressive river. You follow the river along the Enns cycle path to the town of the same name. Enns is considered to be the oldest town in Austria and was settled by the Celts and Romans. This era is presented in the Lauriacum Museum. Cycle on to Linz, the end destination of your cycle tour on the Enns Cycle Path. Example of Hotel: Arcotel Nike in LinzDay 8 - Individual departure or extra nights
Individual journey home from your cycle tour in Austria. Optional: return journey to Radstadt by bus or train.
