Our cycling tour along the Baltic Sea cycle path takes you through varied coastal areas past medieval farmers’ cottages (Bauernkaten), forests and moors, windmills and dreamy fishing villages. In the beautiful old cities of Lübeck and Stralsund the glamour and power of the Hansa becomes apparent.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in LübeckCheck in and you receive your travel documents for your cycling holiday and rented bikes, if booked. Stroll through the old town of the picturesque Hansa city with its lovely charming shops. Example of hotel: Hotel Lindenhof in Lübeck
Day 2 - Lübeck–Wismar, approx. 57-77 kmToday enjoy cycling to Travemünde approx. 20 km or take the train (own arrangement). Afterwards cross over to Priwall with a ferry, before cycling through the Klützer Winkel to the Ostseebad Boltenhagen. Then continue along the steep coast offering a great view over the Bay of Lübeck before reaching Wismar, one of the most beautiful cities of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Day 3 - Wismar–Rerik/Kühlungsborn/surroundings, approx. 31-46 kmYour cycling tour along the Baltic Sea cycle path leads you today past Poel Island along the Salzhaffs to Rerik. Continue via Kühlung to Bastorf and enjoy the beautiful view across Kühlungsborn to the Baltic Sea. Example of hotel:Villa Ludwigsburg in Kühlungsborn
Day 4 - Rerik/Kühlungsborn–Bad Doberan/Warnemünde/Rostock, approx. 27-40 kmHighlight of today's cycling tour in Germany is Heiligendamm, with Germany's oldest seaside resort. Bad Doberan with its cathedral and monastery complex before cycling through a wide and flat region to Warnemünde. Example of hotel: InterCity Hotel in Rostock
Day 5 - Bad Doberan/Warnemünde/Rostock–Fischland/Darß, approx. 40-52 km + boat tripCruise liners from all over the world dock in Warnemünde. Continue with a ferry via Warnow past the High Dune before cycling through the Rostocker Heide (heathland). Close to the beach always along the Baltic Sea cycle path continue to today's final destination the Fischland or rather the Darß. Example of hotel: Hotel Deutsches Haus in Wustrow
Day 6 - Fischland/Darß–Zingst/Barth, approx. 30-42 kmExperience the dreamy and beautifully original peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst on your cycling tour along the Baltic Sea. The bicycle is almost ideal for exploring a part of the National Park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. Example of hotel: Pommernhotel Barth in Barth
Day 7 - Zingst/Barth–Stralsund, approx. 45-57 kmStarting from the seaside resort Zingst or From Barth, the “Gateway to the Baltic Sea”, you cycle along the coast to Stralsund, where your cycle tour on the Baltic Sea ends again. Inhale the flair of the former Hanseatic city. The typical gable houses and brick buildings of the old town are part of the UNSECO world heritage. Day 8 - Individual departure or extra nightsReturn transfer from Stralsund to Lübeck is bookable. Please see rates.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
You do not have to make any advance payments to us up to 4 weeks before departure. Please mind the payment conditions in your booking confirmation/invoice.
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show”
If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and where possible; the customer has no right to such changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.

Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route - in the far north of Germany.
Cycling vacations in Germany between beaches, fishing villages and the deep blue Baltic Sea.Enjoy the changing landscape while cycling: the view of the Baltic Sea and forested steep banks. In the hinterland, deep blue lakes, fjords and fields beguile. Historic fishing villages and vibrant port towns tell the story of the coastal region and offer an attractive cultural program for all bike tour guests in Germany.
Length: The Baltic Sea Cycle Route is 430 kilometers long.
Signage: The route is signposted throughout with the blue logo of the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route.
Condition: The Baltic Sea Cycle Route is mainly asphalted, in places also on sand and gravel surfaces. On Fehmarn, sections of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route are expected to be poor. The route runs mostly through flat coastal terrain. Between Flensburg, Kappeln, Eckernförde and Kiel, uphill stretches are to be expected in places.
Start/Destination: The Baltic Coast Cycle Route begins in northern Germany, in Kupfermühle near Flensburg. The bike tours in Germany lead via Maasholm on the Schlei, Eckernförde , Kiel, Hohwacht, around the sunny island of Fehmarn to Lübeck-Travemünde.
Characteristics: The bike tour is easy to ride and very family friendly. Please note that especially near the coast you have to expect winds that can also change direction.
Equipment: We recommend sporty and comfortable clothing. It is essential to carry a wind- and weatherproof overcoat, because due to the proximity to the sea, a short heavy rain shower is to be expected every day.
