Day 1 - Individual arrival at the Wolfgangsee
After your arrival, you will check into your hotel room and receive your luggage tags. You will then have time to explore St. Wolfgang on your own during a leisurely stroll.

A refreshing morning swim in Lake Wolfgangsee is the perfect start to the first stage. The route then leads up the old toll road to the Postalm – Austria's largest contiguous alpine pasture area. Tip: Be sure to take a break in one of the cozy, rustic huts on the high plateau. Then it's a rapid descent via the old Postalm road into the Lammertal valley. Afterwards, you climb the Hornspitz via numerous hairpin bends before the final descent to Gosau rounds off the day in impressive style.

This stage offers some impressive trail sections that are easy to master even on an e-MTB. Passing the picturesque Lake Gosau, accompanied by views of the majestic Dachstein mountain, the route leads up to the Rossalm – the highest point of the day. You then cycle through the Echerntal valley, past numerous waterfalls, and soon reach the world-famous Hallstatt. Following the eastern shore path, you continue on to Bad Goisern. Tip: Don't forget your swimming trunks – along the way, there are plenty of fantastic spots to take a refreshing dip in the lake.

The tour starts at Lake Altaussee, continues to Lake Ödensee, and then to the Salza Reservoir. From there, the route leads via alpine pastures to Lake Grundlsee and finally back to the starting point at Lake Altaussee. Along the way, lakes and huts invite you to take short breaks.

Rock faces, steep slopes, and magnificent views characterize this section. After the start, the trail climbs up to the Blaa Alm and continues into the Rettenbach Valley. It then leads steeply through the Vorderen Sandlinggraben, where magnificent views of the Dachstein and Lake Hallstatt await. Finally, it descends via the impressive Ewige Wand to Bad Goisern and on to Bad Ischl.

At the start, follow the cycle path along the Traun river to Ebensee. Continue along an ascending forest road to the picturesque Langbath lakes – an ideal place for a swim. After a final steep climb, enjoy the descent down to Steinbach am Attersee.

From Attersee, a steadily ascending forest road leads up to the Eisenaualm below the Schafberg. Along the route, there are repeated beautiful panoramic views of Mondsee. The route continues over the Scharfling down to the shore of Wolfgangsee. A leisurely loop along the lake concludes the tour before you roll into the finish in St. Wolfgang.

Parking options during your cycling vacation in St. Wolfgang:
During your MTB tour, you can park your car in a public parking lot in St. Wolfgang for a fee.
Note for people with reduced mobility:
The cycle tour is generally not suitable for people with reduced mobility. However, individual customer requests are possible in individual cases (e.g. rooms suitable for the disabled).
Passport and visa requirements:
A valid passport or identity card is required for the hotel check-in.
Special entry requirements may apply for foreign nationals (outside the Schengen area). Each traveler is responsible for obtaining a visa in good time.
Payment conditions:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due no later than 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The remaining payment is due 14 days before departure.
Cancellation and withdrawal conditions:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer can withdraw from the contract in writing at any time. In the event of withdrawal or non-commencement of the trip, the following withdrawal fees apply
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from the 27th to the 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from the 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the travel price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
In the event of rebooking by the customer (change of travel date, tour, duration, transfer due to change in the person of the travel participant, etc.) up to 28 days before departure, which is not within our sphere of responsibility, we charge a processing fee of € 50.00 per booking. Thereafter, the cancellation conditions apply. Such a rebooking can only be made according to the possibilities in the individual case; the customer has no claim to this.
