Individual arrival in Pisa, the perfect starting point for your cycle tour through Tuscany. Visit the world-famous Piazza dei Miracoli with the striking Leaning Tower, the cathedral and the baptistery - a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Even away from the famous sights, the lively university city on the Arno with its charming alleys, squares and cafés invites you to discover and linger.
Example of hotel: Hotel San Ranieri in Pisa
  • Day 2 - From Pisa to Casciana Terme, approx. 50 km

Along the Arno you leave Pisa and immerse yourself in the typical Tuscan landscape with olive groves and vineyards. In Pontedera, the Castellani winery and the famous Amedei chocolate factory offer enjoyable stopovers. Afterwards, you continue cycling through the rolling hills to Casciana Terme, a traditional spa town with Etruscan roots and soothing thermal springs.
Example of hotel: Albergo Stella in Casciana Terme
  • Day 3 - From Trento to Peschiera, approx. 50 km + boat trip

Through rolling hills, vineyards and the typical Tuscan landscape, you follow the historic Via Francigena in the direction of San Gimignano. The medieval town inspires with its impressive silhouette, striking historic towers, winding alleys and picturesque squares. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Example of hotel: Hotel Cisterna in San Gimignano
  • Day 4 - From San Gimignano/Colle Val d'Elsa to Siena, approx. 45 km

Your cycling holiday continues on the historic Via Francigena through the picturesque Tuscan countryside. Passing Montemaggio and Monteriggioni, you reach Siena. The medieval city inspires with its brick buildings, the famous Piazza del Campo and the imposing Torre del Mangia
Example of hotel: Hotel Athena in Siena
  • Day 5 - From Siena to Greve in Chianti, approx. 55 km

Your first destination today is Castagnolli, where you can admire the Brolio Castle of the Ricasoli family, which today houses a good wine cellar. After that, you will reach Radda in Chianti, a classic wine village nestled in the green hilly landscape and surrounded by remains from the Etruscan period, and then Panzano with its rural charm. Greve in Chianti, where the famous Chianti Classico Wine Festival takes place every September, is your destination. A good drop of wine from the region will stimulate your senses.
Example of hotel: Albergo del Chianti in Greve in Chianti
  • Day 6 - From Greve in Chianti to Florence, approx. 40 km

Your last stage of your cycling holiday in Tuscany leads through the legendary landscape of Chianti towards Florence. Past the small village of Mugnana with its castle and through Grassina, which was once known as the 'village of washerwomen', you continue cycling on idyllic country roads. Shortly before Florence, it is worth taking a detour to the Fonte della Fata Morgana. Then you follow the Arno to the heart of Florence, the famous capital of the Renaissance.
Example of hotel: Villa Neroli in Florenz
  • Day 7 - Individual departure or extra nights
