What is nicer than to discover Austria on a cycle holiday? The Alpine republic in the heart of Europe offers wonderful and accessible cycle paths. The bike tours in Austria often run along the valley ground in otherwise mountainous regions and along big and small rivers. Along the Trans-Austria cycle route, you explore charming cities, historic sites and picturesque sceneries between Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna. In addition, you cycle on well-known cycle tracks: River Inn cycle path, Danube cycle path, Salzkammerugt cycle path and Tauern cycle path.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Innsbruck
Check in and you receive your travel documents for your cycle tour as well as handover of your rented bike, if booked. Take your time and enjoy a stroll through the beautiful old town of Innsbruck with its famous Goldenen Dachl. Leave the capital of the Tyrol behind you and cycle through lovely picturesque villages and places until you reach Strass the access of the Zillertal Valley. Enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery and take your time to explore the old town of Hall and the well-known Swarovski-Crystals world in Wattens. Numerous medieval fortresses and castles are along the cycle path until you reach the lovely village of Rattenberg. Visit the Tyrolean Museum of farmhouses in Kramsach, before you arrive in Wörgl. Example of hotel: Gasthof-Hotel Baumgarten*** at WörglDay 4 - Wörgl–Kirchberg/Kitzbühel, approx. 25 km
You leave the Inntal Valley and cycle to the east in the ski-world of the Mt. Wilder Kaiser in the Brixental Valley. Your cycle trip in the Tyrol leads through picturesque villages to the world famous place of Kitzbühel. Tip: The section Wörgl-Westendorf, can be shortened individually and comfortable by train (approx. 18 km/approx. 300 high altitude difference). Today cycle via the picturesque Lake Schwarzsee to St. Johann in Tirol. Enjoy a train ride from St. Johann to overcome the high altitude difference to Saalfelden. From here, you continue your cycle holiday along the riverside of the Saalach to Lofer in the Salzburger Land. Example of hotel: Hotel Dankl*** in LoferDay 6 - Lofer – Salzburg approx. 45 km
You leave Lofer and continue your cycle holidays, on the Tauern cycle path, along the River Saalach via the “green border” into the Bavarian Bad Reichenhall. Already after a few kilometres, you cross the border once more and you reach Salzburg, birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Today leave Salzburg cycling through Salzburg's Flachgau via Eugendorf to Thalgau along the impressive Drachenwand (dragon wall) before reaching picturesque Lake Mondsee. Up in Scharfling a magnificent view opens up towards Lake Wolfgangsee from where it goes down rapidly to lovely St. Gilgen, Mozart's town. Stroll through this lovely village St. Wolfgang before you continue in direction of Bad Ischl. The emperor town, offers a great variety of culture, local and international specialties and history and was the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph and many artists. Continue cycling along the River Traun following the Salzkammergut cycle path before you reach Traunkirchen. Today continue along the River Traun until reaching the Danube City Linz. In Wels, you have the possibility to take the train and shorten the daily stage for 30 km. Example of hotel: Hotel Schillerpark**** in LinzDay 10 - Linz - Grein/Bad Kreuzen, approx. 60 km

Along the cycle tour in the Wachau Valley, you cycle via the well-known wine-growing villages of St. Michael, Weissenkirchen and Dürnstein. To visit the numerous sights of Austria's capital, we recommend to book, an extra night.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 7 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
The general travel conditions of 1992 apply with following cancellation conditions: Prior to arrival the customer can cancel in written form at any time the booked arrangement. In case of cancellation or no show we charge following fees:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show”
In case the booking is changed from the customer himself (change of date, duration of the tour or participant) up to 28 days prior arrival, a handling fee of € 50,- per booking is charged.
Thereafter the previous cancellation conditions apply. Such a change of booking is only in individual cases a possibility customers do not have a claim on it.

Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
