Along the River Tay, you will discover historic places such as Dunkeld with its old cathedral and the quiet riverside towns of Kenmore, Killin and St Fillans. A rest day in Killin invites you to take a trip to the Dochart waterfalls or to the idyllic valleys of Glen Lochay and Glen Lyon. The moderate stages leave plenty of time to enjoy and explore.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Perth
Welcome to the charming Highland town of Perth! Take some time to browse the shops, stroll along the River Tay or climb Kinnoull Hill to enjoy impressive views over the Tay Valley. At 7 p.m., you will receive your bicycle and a briefing on the route at your accommodation.

Just a few kilometres outside Perth, you will reach Scone Palace, famous for its valuable furniture, porcelain and art collections. You will then cycle through the gently rolling countryside of Perthshire to Dunkeld. This idyllic town on the River Tay charms visitors with its lovingly restored 18th-century houses and historic cathedral.

Today's route takes you mostly along the fast-flowing River Tay. Crossing an old railway bridge, you reach Logierait and later Strathtay, a popular destination for canoeists. Continue on to pretty Weem and finally cross the historic Wade Bridge to Aberfeldy. Visit the distillery, the old watermill or hike through the picturesque Birks of Aberfeldy.

After taking in Castle Menzies, cycle through forests and open countryside to Kenmore on the eastern shore of Loch Tay. An exciting highlight is the Crannog Centre, which illustrates life in the Bronze Age. Along the beautiful southern shore road of Loch Tay, you finally approach the lively village of Killin.

Today, you have time to visit the impressive Dochart Falls or go hiking – for example, on Ben Lawers, Perthshire's highest mountain. Alternatively, you can cycle to picturesque Glen Lochay and Glen Lyon.

You will reach Lochearnhead through the car-free Glen Ogle. From there, follow the shore of Loch Earn via St. Fillans to the valley of the River Earn. Your stage ends in Comrie or Crieff. Recommended: a visit to the Glenturret Distillery or the Crieff Visitor Centre.

Before setting off on your final cycle ride, it is worth taking a detour to the magnificent formal gardens of Drummond Castle. Then cycle leisurely through the peaceful countryside back to Perth, where your journey ends.

Your cycling tour ends after breakfast. It is possible to extend your stay in Scotland with extra night.

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
25% of the tour price up to the 42nd day before departure
40% of the tour price from 41st to 21st day before departure
60% of the tour price from the 20th to the 14th day before departure
100% of the tour price from the 13rd day before departure until the day of arrival
