With a bit of luck, you may spot red deer or golden eagles in the wild. After a rest day in Fort William, your cycle tour ends in the harbour town of Oban, accessible via the flower-filled island of Lismore. Day 1 - Individual arrival in Inverness
Individual arrival in Inverness, the lively centre of the Highlands. The city looks back on a long history dating back to the Neolithic Age. Those who have time can immerse themselves in the era of the Jacobite uprising of 1745 at the Garrison Castle Encounter.

At 9:00 a.m., the cycling stage begins with a route briefing and bike handover in Inverness. The route then follows the river out of the city and climbs steeply to Blackfold. Continuing along quiet country roads and open moorlands, the ride leads to Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness. Here, the Loch Ness Monster Exhibition Centre and the ruins of Urquhart Castle provide impressive highlights for a cycling tour through the Highlands.

Following the Great Glen cycling route, some challenging climbs lead to breathtaking views of Loch Ness and the majestic mountains beyond. Quiet woodland sections offer opportunities to spot deer or golden eagles in the wild before reaching the southern end of Loch Ness in Fort Augustus.

Following the cycling path along the Caledonian Canal and quiet woodland trails, the route safely leads to the locks of Neptune's Staircase in Banavie. From there, the journey continues to the lively tourist town of Fort William, in the shadow of the mighty Ben Nevis, passing impressive natural scenery and tranquil landscapes along the way.

Use the day to take a ride on the scenic West Highland Railway steam train to Mallaig (advance reservation required), climb Ben Nevis, or explore the many woodland trails in Leanachan Forest.

Several ferry crossings today take you to Camusnagaul, across Loch Linnhe to Corran, and onward to Port Appin for the island of Lismore. This idyllic island, known for its agriculture and historical significance, invites a visit to the Old Schoolhouse. The day concludes with the evening ferry from Lismore to Oban.

Possible options include a bike ride to Dunstaffnage Castle, a trip to the island of Kerrera, or a ferry to Craignure on Mull, from where you can continue cycling to Tobermory.

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
25% of the tour price up to the 42nd day before departure
40% of the tour price from 41st to 21st day before departure
60% of the tour price from the 20th to the 14th day before departure
100% of the tour price from the 13rd day before departure until the day of arrival
