Day 1 - Individual arrival in Perth
Individual arrival in Perth, the historic heart of Scotland. Spend the afternoon strolling along the River Tay, wandering through the old town or climbing Kinnoull Hill for magnificent views over the Tay Valley. In the evening (around 7 p.m.), you will receive your bike and a briefing on the route at your accommodation.

Right at the start of your cycling tour through Scotland, it is worth visiting the magnificent Scone Palace, which was once the coronation site of Scottish kings. Afterwards, you will cycle through gently rolling countryside and charming villages to Dunkeld, an idyllic town on the River Tay. The medieval cathedral and the lovingly restored houses around the market square invite you to linger.

You follow the course of the River Tay along quiet paths through the forests of the Highlands. After a short climb, a fantastic view over the Rivers Tay and Tummel opens up. In Pitlochry, a lively Victorian spa town, sights such as Pitlochry Dam with its fish ladder and charming riverside cafés await you.

Today you can enjoy a leisurely day. Visit the famous Blair Atholl Distillery or the Edradour Distillery, Scotland's smallest whisky distillery. It is also worth taking a trip to the magnificent Blair Castle, which impresses with its interior and history.

After a short transfer in the morning, you will visit the fairytale Glamis Castle, the family seat of the Earls of Strathmore and former home of the Queen Mother. Your cycle route then takes you through the fertile Vale of Strathmore, over the rolling Sidlaw Hills and into the city of Dundee, before crossing the Tay Bridge to Fife. Following the coastline, you will finally reach the historic town of St. Andrews, famous as the ‘home of golf' and for its venerable university.

Discover St. Andrews with its impressive cathedral ruins and golden beaches – or take a bike ride along the picturesque coastline of the East Neuk of Fife. The pretty fishing villages of Crail, Anstruther and Pittenweem enchant visitors with their white houses, red roofs and small harbours.

You cycle back to Perth along quiet roads. On the way, you visit Falkland Palace, the former hunting lodge of the Stuart royal family, and enjoy the palace gardens. Passing through small villages and green hills, you finally reach the city of Perth, where your cycling tour of Scotland comes to an end.

Your cycling tour ends after breakfast. It is possible to extend your stay in Scotland with extra night.
Hotel examples: Your accommodation will mainly be in the hotels specified above however, in the event that a hotel is unavailable on the required date, an equivalent hotel will be booked.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
25% of the tour price up to the 42nd day before departure
40% of the tour price from 41st to 21st day before departure
60% of the tour price from the 20th to the 14th day before departure
100% of the tour price from the 13rd day before departure until the day of arrival
