Day 1 - Individual arrival in Bamberg
After your arrival we recommend a city round tour. Bamberg built and loved by the Emperor Henry II buried in the cathedral, is one of Europe's largest intact old town centers and an UNESCO world heritage site with great churches and breweries. Maybe you stroll once again through this lovely city of the seven hills enjoying a last view from the tower of Geyerworth Palace. The River Main cycle path leads you to the surroundings of Bamberg, from ‘Beer-Franconia” to “Wine-Franconia”. First evidence is the lovely wine village Zeil am Main, at the foot of Mt. Cycling along a well-developed cycle path continue through lovely, small romantic villages, great vineyards and meadows of River Main region. Enjoy during your cycle tour the specialities of Volkach, where also the best Franconian wine flourishes and grows. Through the typical countryside of the River Main cycle past castles and ruins. Miltenberg, well known for the so-called “Schnatterloch”, one of the most picturesque places in Germany and a great photo motive. The traditional timbered houses are also well worth seeing. After breakfast cycle through lovely vineyards towards the metropolis of Aschaffenburg. Return transfer from your cycling holiday in Germany to Bamberg is every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 9 am (duration approx. 3 hours). Please see rates for more details.
Parking facilities
Public multi-storey car park "Am Mainufer" (free public parking), underground car park "Theaterplatz" (10 € per day); Contipark car park "Hauptbahnhof" (11 € per day) - reservation not possible (for all parking spaces).
Security for your booking
As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 7 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
The general travel conditions of 1992 apply with following cancellation conditions: Prior to arrival the customer can cancel in written form at any time the booked arrangement. In case of cancellation or no show we charge following fees:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show”
In case the booking is changed from the customer himself (change of date, duration of the tour or participant) up to 28 days prior arrival, a handling fee of € 50,- per booking is charged.
Thereafter the previous cancellation conditions apply. Such a change of booking is only in individual cases a possibility customers do not have a claim on it.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

The liquidator is the TVA-Tourismusversicherungsagentur GmbH, Baumannstraße 9/8, A-1030 Vienna, Email: abwicklung@tourismusversicherung.at, 24-hour emergency number: +43 1 361907744.
