Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual Arrival in Utrecht/Bunnik

Your cycling tour in Holland begins in the historic university city of Utrecht. Depending on availability, you will stay overnight in Utrecht or nearby Bunnik. Use the day to take your first stroll through the charming old town with its canals, cosy cafés and small boutiques.
Hotel example: Hotel Mitland in Utrecht.
  • Day 2 - From Utrecht/Bunnik to Amsterdam, approx. 60 km

Today, you will cycle along the idyllic banks of the Vecht towards Amsterdam. Magnificent mansions and elegant summer residences from the 17th and 18th centuries line your route. In the afternoon, you will reach the Dutch metropolis of Amsterdam, which delights visitors with its canals, museums and unique flair.
Hotel example: Westcord Art Hotel in Amsterdam.
  • Day 3 - From Amsterdam to Zandvoort/Noordwijkerhout, approx. 30 km

You leave Amsterdam and reach the elegant city of Haarlem, known for its historic facades, beautiful shopping opportunities and charming squares. The route continues through the varied natural landscape of the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park to the popular seaside resort of Zandvoort on the North Sea. If you stay overnight in Noordwijkerhout, the stage is extended by approx. 15 km.
Hotel example: NH Hotel in Zandvoort.
  • Day 4 - From Zandvoort/Noordwijkerhout to Scheveningen/The Hague, approx. 40 km

Cycle through the impressive dune and flower region along the coast towards The Hague. Especially in spring, fields of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths transform the landscape into a colourful mosaic. Your destination is Scheveningen, the sophisticated seaside resort with a long beach promenade and numerous leisure activities.
Hotel example: Boulevard Hotel in Scheveningen.
  • Day 5 - From Scheveningen/The Hague to Gouda, approx. 50 km

First, explore The Hague, seat of the Dutch government and royal residence. A visit to the Mauritshuis, home to Vermeer's famous painting Girl with a Pearl Earring, is well worth it, as is the Panorama Mesdag. Then cycle through wide meadows to the traditional cheese town of Gouda, famous for its cheese, syrup waffles and candles. If possible, plan your stay for a Thursday to experience the famous cheese market.
Hotel example: Best Western Hotel in Gouda.
  • Day 6 - From Gouda to Utrecht/Bunnik, approx. 50 km

The final stage takes you through a varied landscape of forests, parks, rivers, lakes and typical polder areas. Along the way, you can stop off at a cheese factory or the fairytale De Haar Castle. Back in Utrecht, the unique old town, museum quarter and picturesque Oudegracht with its water terraces invite you to relax and unwind.
Hotel example: Hotel Mitland in Utrecht
  • Day 7 - Individual departure or extra nights
