Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual Arrival in Utrecht/Bunnik

Discover the picturesque landscapes and charming cities of the Netherlands on this tour. Your journey begins in Utrecht or Bunnik, where you can enjoy your first impressions of Dutch hospitality. Depending on availability, your accommodation may be in Bunnik instead of Utrecht. Hotel example: Hotel Mitland in Utrecht.
  • Day 2 - From Utrecht/Bunnik to Amsterdam, approx. 60 km

Today, you will cycle through an idyllic landscape along the picturesque River Vecht to Amsterdam. Characteristic of this region are the magnificent stately homes and summer houses built by wealthy Amsterdam merchants in the 17th and 18th centuries. At the end of the day, Amsterdam awaits you – a city that everyone loves in their own unique way. What will be your reason to fall in love with this exceptional city? Hotel example: Westcord Art Hotel in Amsterdam.
  • Day 3 - From Amsterdam to Zandvoort/Noordwijkerhout, approx. 30 km

You will fall in love with the elegant city of Haarlem, which has been voted the best city for shopping. Be sure to admire the facades of historical buildings and try to spot the beautiful stepped gables. Our bike route then takes us through Zuid-Kennemerland, a colorful region rich in natural beauty. In the famous seaside resort of Zandvoort, you will spend the night by the sea. For logistical reasons, your accommodation may be in Noordwijkerhout instead of Zandvoort. In this case, the cycling distance will be 51 km, and the next day 36 km. Hotel example: NH Hotel in Zandvoort.
  • Day 4 - From Zandvoort/Noordwijkerhout to Scheveningen, approx. 40 km

Today you cycle through the Dune and Bulb Region. The windswept dunes not only protect the hinterland from the sea, but also harbor many species of dune flora and fauna. April is the best time to experience the colorful bulb fields – daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips – in full bloom just behind the dunes. Along the coast, you'll find idyllic resorts and beaches. Once you reach Scheveningen, countless leisure activities will be available to make your day unforgettable. Hotel example: Boulevard Hotel in Scheveningen.
  • Day 5 - From Scheveningen to Gouda/Bodegraven, approx. 50 km

First, you will cycle to The Hague, home to the government and the King. The city is full of landmarks and activities. You may want to take the opportunity to admire Vermeer's famous painting The Girl with the Pearl Earring at the Mauritshuis Museum. After a thorough exploration of The Hague, you continue through open grasslands to the picturesque cheese town of Gouda, known for its syrup waffles and candles. If possible, plan your trip so you can experience the traditional Thursday morning cheese market. Hotel example: Best Western Hotel in Gouda.
  • Day 6 - From Gouda/Bodegraven to Utrecht/Bunnik, approx. 50 km

Today, you will enjoy a varied landscape with forests, stately homes, parks, rivers, polders, lakes, and marshy fens. You may stop at a cheese dairy or visit the impressive De Haar Castle. At the end of the day, you can explore the lively center of Utrecht. Stroll through the charming Museum Quarter and admire the beautiful Oude Gracht canal. The unique wharves along the canal offer a wonderful setting for cozy cafes by the water. Hotel example: Westcord Art Hotel in Utrecht.
  • Day 7 - Individual departure or extra nights

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
