A great cycling tour for spoiled souls with a unique cycling experience along the „Ijsselmeer“. You explore the most romantic cities and villages which have it’s origin in the 20th century. Before the 20th centure starts a lot of families have lived in the villages around the „Ijsselmeer“. The villages are famous for the fishing harvest.

Today the „Issjelmeer“ is famous for it‘s sourrounding and for it’s quiteness. On your tour you have the chance to enjoy the wounderful views and the beautiful water of the „Issjelmeer“.

Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual Arrival to Nunspeet

    The village Nunspeet is situated in the nature, with a lovely sourrounding and old farms. Therefore Nunspeet is also called the „pearl of the Veluwe“. From here you start your gorgeous cycling tour around the „Ijsselmeer“. Example of hotel: NH Veluwe Sparrenhorst
  • Day 2 - From Nunspeet to Amersfoort, approx. 60 km

    At the beginning of your tour you cycle from Nunspeet to the romantic little village Harderwijk. Harderwijk is well-known for it's old historic buildings. At the end of the cycling day your last step for this day is the city Amersfoort. In Amersfoort you need to explore the antique town centre with the famous city wall while you walk through the lovely streets. Example of hotel: NH Amersfoort
  • Day 3 - From Amersfoort to Amsterdam/Volendam/Purmerend, approx. 65 km

    Today you cycle through well known and typical dutch villages like Baarn and Muiderberg. A highlight of this cycling stage is the moore area „Eemland“. Furthermore you cycle to Muiderslot, where you see the most breathtaking middelage castle of Holland. End your evening with a stroll through the beautiful streets of Amsterdam.   • Day 4 - From Amsterdam/Volendam/Purmerend to Enkhuizen, approx. 65 km

    On the way to Enkhuizen you should make a stopover in Edam. From Edam you cycle to the so called „crown jewel“of the „Ijsselmeer“ the beautiful village Hoorn. After a wonderful cycling day you finally reach the city Enkhuizen. This city was a famous seaport city in the Golden century. Example of hotel: Hotel Suydersee or Hotel Die Port Van Cleve
  • Day 5 - From Enkhuizen to Balk/Wijckel/Lemmer, approx. 35-40 km

    In the early morning you take the ferry to Stavoren. We ask you to take the luggage and your bike with you on the ferry. On the route you have the chance to see a lot of typical frisian village. Stavoren is famous for the eleven city route. Example of hotel: Sporthotel Iselmar
  • Day 6 - From Balk/Wijckel/Lemmer to Zwartsluis, approx. 50-60 km

    Before you leave Lemmer, you should see the most impressive steam pump. Furthermore you cycle through a nature reserve „De Weerribben“, an old moore area. On the way to Zwartsluis you can take a break in Blokzijl or Vollenhove. Use the opportunity to visit the former castle of Swartsluys. Example of hotel: Hotel Zwartewater
  • Day 7 - From Zwartsluis to Nunspeet, approx. 50 km

    On your last day of your cycling trip in Holland you cycle back to Nunspeet. On your way you pass the old Hanzestadt Kampen and the village Noordeinde. The little village is famous for the buildings and reed roofs. Example of hotel: NH Veluwe Sparrenhorst
  • Day 8 - Individual departure or extra nights

Passport and visa requirements:
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever.
