Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Füssen

King Ludwig II and his fairytale castles welcome you. Example of hotel: Hotel zum Hechten in Füssen
  • Day 2 - From Füssen/Schwangau to Imst, approx. 40 km + bus transfer

The cycle path first takes you from Füssen to Reutte. From here, the transfer takes you over the Fernpass, conserving your energy. Your cycle tour in Tyrol takes you from Fernstein Castle via Nassereith through the picturesque Gurgltal valley to Imst. A ‘beery' experience awaits you at Starkenberg Castle, where you can explore the traditional private brewery. Example of hotel: Hotel Neuner in Imst
  • Day 3 - From Imst to the region Reschensee & Obervinschgau, approx. 55 km + bus transfer

You first cycle from Imst to Landeck. From there, you take the included transfer to Nauders. After a short time, you cross the border to Italy at the Reschen Pass and thus the main Alpine ridge. The cycle path takes you past the Reschen reservoir with one of the most famous photo spots in South Tyrol, the sunken church tower of Altgraun. On your cycle tour in South Tyrol, you can now let your bike speed along towards Mals. The flair of South Tyrol awaits you in the evening. Example of hotel: Hotel Stocker in St. Valentin
  • Day 4 - From region Reschensee & Obervinschgau to Merano, approx. 65 km

On today's cycle tour in South Tyrol, you will cross the entire Vinschgau Valley. The Adige cycle path takes you from around 1.200 metres above sea level in Burgeis down to 350 metres above sea level in Meran. You often cycle directly along the Adige River and pass the towns of Glurns, Laas and Naturns before reaching the spa town of Meran. Round off this day of cycling with a leisurely evening stroll along the Passer promenade amidst a subtropical world of plants. Example of hotel: Hotel Flora in Merano
  • Day 5 - From Merano to the region Castelfeder, approx. 50 km

There is much to marvel at on this cycle route: the famous Schnatterpeck altar in the church in Niederlana, the highest church tower in South Tyrol in Terlan and numerous castles and ruins on both sides of the valley. The region also has plenty of culinary delights to offer: Asparagus in Terlan, tasty chestnuts in Nals and, last but not least, excellent wines to savour. Exemple of hotel: Hotel Turmwirt in der Region Castelfeder
  • Day 6 - Frome the region Castelfelder to Bolzano, approx. 30 km

From the enchanting wine villages along the Adige Cycle Path, the cycle tour continues flat through the Adige Valley or (more scenic, but with a steeper incline) over the Monticolo lakes. Passing Sigmundskron you soon reach Bolzano. (pergolas, ‘Ötzi' museum) Example of hotel: Hotel Post Gries in Bozen
  • Day 7 - Individual Departure or extra nights

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
