This sporty cycling tour in Austria and Germany takes you together with the so-called "Green River Inn" on some longer daily stages. A breathtaking scenery of the Tyrolean mountain ranges accompany you from Innsbruck to Kufstein. In the South of Bavaria you cycle gently hilly via farmland through the picturesque villages of Wasseburg and Mühldorf. The pilgrimage places Altötting and Marktl are well-worth visiting during your bike tour. In the Innviertel continue through lovely towns, the baroque jewels Obernberg, Reichersberg and Schärding.

Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Innsbruck

    On the first day of your bike tour, check-in and you receive your travel documents for your cycling holidays. The best view across the Tyrolean Mountains you would get during a trip up to the “Nordkette” (North chain) by cable car. Example of hotel: Austria Trend Hotel Congress**** in Innsbruck
  • Day 2 - Innsbruck–Wörgl, approx. 70 km

    Leave the capital of the Tyrol behind you before cycling through the medieval village of Hall, past the well-known world of the Swarovski-Crystals in Wattens towards the Lower Inntal Valley. The giant glaciers sensed at the end of the Zillertal Valley before reaching Wörgl, today's final destination of your bike route. Example of hotel: Hotel-Gasthof Baumgarten*** in Wörgl
  • Day 3 - Wörgl–Rosenheim, approx. 50 km

    Along your cycling tour in direction of Bavaria, you soon see the magnificent fortress of Kufstein. Take your time for a visit before cycling to Rosenheim. Example of hotel: Hotel Tryp by Wyndham**** in Rosenheim
  • Day 4 - Rosenheim–Mühldorf, approx. 80 km

    Predominantly your bike route today leads along the dam and through lowland forest to Wasserburg. Do not miss to visit this picturesque town before cycling offside the River Inn through lovely villages and farmland to Mühldorf. Example of hotel: Hotel Wetzel*** in Mühldorf
  • Day 5 - Mühldorf–Kirchdorf, approx. 70 km

    Today your cycle tour brings you towards the Upper Austrian Innviertel and you should not miss seeing Altötting, one of Bavaria's most popular pilgrimage sites and Marktl, birthplace of Pope Benedict XVI. Shortly after Braunau continue through the impressive European reservation of the Lower River Inn with its species rich bird world and flora a true highlight of your cycling holidays.   • Day 6 - Kirchdorf–Passau, approx. 50 km

    Along your bike route to Passau, picturesque baroque towns invite for a visit: Obernberg with its lovely market square, the magnificent Monastery Reichersberg and the baroque city of Schärding with its famous Silberzeile. A confluence of River Inn and River Danube rewards Passau as one of Germany's most beautiful cities. Example of hotel: Hotel Passauer Wolf**** in Passau
  • Day 7 - Individual departure or extra nights

    Return from your cycling holidays in Bavaria and Austria, by train to Innsbruck (included).
Detail Information

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).

Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 7 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
The general travel conditions of 1992 apply with following cancellation conditions: Prior to arrival the customer can cancel in written form at any time the booked arrangement. In case of cancellation or no show we charge following fees:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show”

In case the booking is changed from the customer himself (change of date, duration of the tour or participant) up to 28 days prior arrival, a handling fee of € 50,- per booking is charged.
Thereafter the previous cancellation conditions apply. Such a change of booking is only in individual cases a possibility customers do not have a claim on it.

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
