Following perfectly developed cycle paths, you’ll ride along the Alsace Wine Route, passing numerous picturesque winegrowing villages and historic towns. The starting point of your bike journey is the European city of Strasbourg.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Strasbourg
You travel individually to your cycling holiday in Alsace. Strasbourg, the capital of Europe, enchants visitors with its romantic medieval old town. Between the historic Tanner's Quarter and the modern European Parliament, you'll experience a fascinating blend of history and modernity. Climb the tower of Strasbourg Cathedral and enjoy the stunning views of the Vosges Mountains and the Black Forest – a true highlight of any bike tour in France.

Your bike tour begins along an idyllic canal system with picturesque views of the Vosges Mountains. You'll cycle through charming villages and past old lock systems until you reach Wasselonne. Following the little river Bruche, the well-developed cycle path continues to the famous Alsace Wine Route. Romantic wine villages with historic centers, often still surrounded by old city walls, await you here. The destination of today's cycling stage is Obernai, the first gem on the Wine Route.

On today's stage, you'll cycle along the gentle hills of the Vosges; endless vineyards and medieval castles make this part of your cycling holiday in France a true experience. In charming towns like Andlau, Ribeauvillé, and Riquewihr, time seems to stand still – the perfect setting to soak up the atmosphere of these historic villages. In Kaysersberg, you'll encounter traces of Albert Schweitzer.

Today, your bike tour continues with more highlights along the Alsace Wine Route. The day's destination is Colmar – the capital of the Wine Route. In the tranquil old town, you can admire art by Martin Schongauer or the American Statue of Liberty created by Auguste Bartholdi.

Take time for a leisurely stroll through picturesque Colmar with its “Little Venice” and the famous Unterlinden Museum. Don't miss the dreamy wine villages you'll pass through on today's cycling route. Here you're on the Romanesque Road, lined with impressive buildings from the 11th and 12th centuries. From Guebwiller, you can cycle to Bollwiller to take the train directly, or continue on to Ungersheim, passing the Écomusée d'Alsace, the open-air museum. From there, the bike path leads directly to Mulhouse. Return to Colmar by train (not included).

This stage of your cycling holiday in Alsace takes you from Colmar to Neuf-Brisach, the Vauban fortress town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue cycling along the Canal du Rhône au Rhin through the village of Ottmarsheim and the Hardt Forest to Mulhouse – the European capital of technical museums. Your bike tour ends at the beautiful Place de la Réunion with its Saint-Étienne Temple and colorful town hall.

Let your cycling vacation in Alsace end on a relaxing note. Parallel to the Rhine, you'll cycle along the canal system to the Swiss cultural metropolis of Basel. This historic trading hub at the Rhine bend, located in the border triangle of France, Germany, and Switzerland, enchants visitors with its wonderful flair. The historic old town – considered one of the most beautiful in Europe – invites you to linger and explore.

Parking possibilities
There are covered and guarded parking lots that are easily accessible by streetcar.
such as: the parking garage Parking Indigo Strasbourg Hôpital Hautepierre (about € 50,00/week). No pre-reservation and payment on the spot.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 7 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day of arrival
100% of the tour price on the day of arrival or later
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
