The starting point of the cycling tour is the medieval Lombard town of Cividale del Friuli, renowned for important landmarks such as the Tempietto Longobardo and the Devil’s Bridge (Ponte del Diavolo) spanning the River Natisone. From here, the route continues to Gradisca d’Isonzo, near the Slovenian border, a historic town located along the former frontline of the Isonzo Battles during the First World War.

Day 1 - Individual journey to Cividale/Surroundings
Arrival for your cycling holiday and handover of your individual travel documents.Day 2 - Round Tour Cividale del Friuli – Udine, approx. 30 km / 60 km (longer option)
On the first day of this cycling tour in Friuli, you can choose between two round-trip routes. The shorter route takes you to Prepotto (Slovene: Prapotno), a picturesque village in the Province of Udine with narrow streets and historic houses. The longer route leads to the university town of Udine, where landmarks such as the Udine Cathedral and the Loggia del Lionello on the ground floor of the town hall are worth a visit.Day 3 - Round Tour to Slovenia and Brda approx. 45- 65 km
Today's cycling tour takes you across the border into Slovenia, specifically to the Brda region, a crossroads of Slavic, Romanic, and Germanic cultures. Brda is renowned for its traditional vineyards as well as its many castles and whitewashed churches, most of which it picturesquely atop hills.Day 4 - Round Tour to Villa Collio approx. 40-45 km
The Collio region is known for its excellent wines and rich history. On today's cycling tour, you will visit the castles of Collio, including Rocca Bernarda, a 16th-century castle perched on a hill and surrounded by vineyards. Thanks to Gaetano Perusini, this area became the birthplace of the renowned Picolit grapeDay 5 - Cividale – Cormons – Gradisca d'Isonzo approx. 35 km / 45 km longer option via Gorizia
Today you leave Cividale del Friuli and cycle to Cormons, the cultural and economic center of the Collio region. The main square is the perfect spot for a break with a glass of Collio wine. Afterwards, you continue to Gradisca d'Isonzo, near the Slovenian border. In the old town, the Palazzo dei Provveditori houses the Enoteca Regionale, an ideal place to end the day with a regional wine. Overnight in Gradisca d'Isonzo.Day 6 - Round Tour to Aquileia approx. 45-75 km
Today's cycling day takes you to Aquileia, once one of the largest cities of the Roman Empire. Impressive Roman ruins and early Christian churches still testify to its importance as the “Second Rome.” A visit to the medieval cathedral, home to the most significant early Christian floor mosaic, is especially worthwhile.Day 7 - Gradisca d'Isonzo – Triest approx. 40 km
On the final day of the double-base cycling tour, you will reach Trieste, the former Habsburg city. First, you ride through the rugged Karst landscape before reaching the Adriatic Sea. Following a spectacular coastal route, you cycle toward your destination. A visit to Miramare Castle rounds off the tour before you enter the historic port and trading city of Trieste. Return by train (ticket included).Day 8 - Individual departure

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
95% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 75,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.
