Follow the Drau Cycle Path past rolling hills and clear lakes such as Lake Faaker See, Lake Wörthersee and Lake Ossiacher See. The region can be explored at a leisurely pace on mostly flat, gently undulating and car-free cycle paths and quiet side roads.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Mühlbach/Municipality of St. Jakob
Arrival for your cycling vacation in Carinthia. Check into your hotel and pick up your rental bikes for your Carinthian centre cycling tour.

Your centre cycle tour in Carinthia takes you via Dolintschach to Rosegg, where it is worth visiting the castle or zoo. You cycle along the Drau Cycle Path to Förderlach and on to Lake Faaker See. On a gently undulating route, you can enjoy fantastic views before cycling via Faak and Drobollach to Ledenitzen and back to the hotel.Day 3 - Trip to Villach, approx. 45 km
Today, you will cycle leisurely upstream along the Drau River to Rosegg and on via Föderlach to the idyllic Silbersee lake – ideal for a swim and a short break. Then it's on to the centre of Villach, where you will have time for a stroll around the town. The return journey follows the same route, but you can optionally shorten the stage by taking the train between Villach, Lind or Velden.Day 4 - Round trip to Lake Ossiach, approx. 65 km
From the hotel, cycle to Velden and take the train (approx. &euro 8,40 per person including bike, payable on site) to Villach. From there, your tour takes you via St. Andrä with Landskron Castle around the picturesque Lake Ossiach – past Sattendorf, Steindorf and the baroque Ossiach Abbey. Return by train to Velden and then relax at the hotel.Day 5 - Rest day
Spend today relaxing at the hotel and enjoying the beauty of the Rosental valley. Alternatively, you can take a guided 3-country bike tour through Slovenia, Italy and Austria – including a guide and transfer (bookable on site, approx. &euro 54,00 per person).Day 6 - Round trip to Lake Wörthersee, approx. 60 km
From the hotel, cycle upstream along the Drau to Rosegg, continuing slightly uphill to Selpritsch. Via Velden, follow the northern shore of Lake Wörthersee, past Pörtschach and Krumpendorf to Klagenfurt. The return journey takes you along the southern shore via the Maria Wörth pilgrimage church back to the hotel. Optionally, the route between Klagenfurt and Velden can be shortened by train.Day 7 - Round tour through the Rosental valley, approx. 40 km
Cycling along the Drau river, you will pass through the picturesque Rosental valley with impressive views of the Karawanken mountains to the Feistritz reservoir. On the way back, the route takes you via Ludmannsdorf and Selkach back to the hotel.Day 8 - Individual departure

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.
