Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Brussels

Your cycling holiday in Belgium begins in the lively capital. Brussels charms with its cosmopolitan flair and multicultural character. Highlights such as the UNESCO-listed Grand Place, the futuristic Atomium, and the famous Manneken-Pis are must-sees. Stroll through elegant arcades, relax in cafés, and indulge in Belgian pralines or waffles.
Example of hotel: NH Hotel EU Berlaymont in Brussels
  • Day 2 - From Brussels to Mechelen, approx. 65 km

The first stage takes you through rolling countryside to Leuven. This charming city is known as Belgium's oldest university town and for its long brewing tradition, making it the perfect place for a beer tasting. In the afternoon, you will reach Mechelen, a city steeped in history. The imposing St. Rumbold's Cathedral, the palaces of Margaret and the picturesque squares are reminders of the Burgundian era. You can round off the evening with a stroll along the Dijle.
Example of hotel: NH Hotel Mechelen in Mechelen
  • Day 3 - From Mechelen to Bornem/Puurs, approx. 30-40 km

In the morning, you cycle through flat countryside and reach Antwerp, the “city of Rubens”. Here, art meets global trade: magnificent churches, baroque city palaces and world-class museums make this port city a cultural highlight of your cycling tour in Belgium. In the afternoon, you continue along the Rupel and Scheldt rivers to Bornem or Puurs. A peaceful stage that takes you through typical Flemish landscapes.
Example of hotel: Hotel de Notelaar in Bornem
  • Day 4 - From Bornem/Puursto Gent, approx. 65 km

Continuing your journey, you will reach Ghent, the ‘historic heart of Flanders'. The city captivates visitors with its unique blend of history and lively atmosphere. Highlights include St. Bavo's Cathedral with its world-famous Ghent Altarpiece, the picturesque Graslei and Korenlei with their guild houses, and the mighty Count's Castle. In the evening, numerous restaurants invite you to sample regional specialities, from Belgian beers to typical dishes such as ‘Waterzooi'.
Example of hotel: Hotel Chamade in Gent
  • Day 5 - From Gent to Bruges, approx. 50 km

Today's stage is a highlight of your cycling tour in Belgium: you will cycle through peaceful countryside to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bruges. The ‘Pearl of Flanders' enchants visitors with its medieval charm, romantic canals and historic houses. On a stroll through the city, you will discover both magnificent mansions and modest craftsmen's cottages. Enjoy the evening with a glass of regional beer or a praline from one of the traditional chocolateries.
Example of hotel: Hotel Velotel in Bruges
  • Day 6 - From Bruges via De Haan to Bruges, approx. 55 km

On the last day of your cycling holiday, you will take a round trip through the flat coastal region. First, the route takes you to the white village of Lissewege, whose idyllic setting invites you to linger. Then you will cycle on to the coast of De Haan, one of Belgium's most beautiful seaside resorts. Whether you choose to stroll along the beach, take a dip in the North Sea or enjoy freshly caught fish in a restaurant by the sea, this day combines the pleasures of nature and cuisine in a special way. Afterwards, you will cycle back to Bruges at a leisurely pace.
Example of hotel: Hotel Velotel in Bruges
  • Day 7 - Individual departure or extra nights

Your cycling tour through Belgium ends after breakfast. You can return to Brussels on your own by direct train (approx. 50 minutes) or take a comfortable return transfer by bus (see price table for prices).

Hotel note: We make every effort to book the hotels mentioned by name. However, if one is not available, we will switch to an equivalent company.
