from/to Maastricht oder ´s Gravenvoeren 4-Country Vennbahn 2024

8 days/7 nights, approx. 345 km,
40–70 km daily, mostly flat,
4- and 3-star hotels

In the summer of 2013 the ‘Vennbahn’, Europe’s longest and most beautiful continuous crossborder cycle path (125 km) on disused railway tracks, was officially opened. The ‘Vennbahn’ (with an average climb of less than 2%) passes through three different countries, from the German city of Aachen, near the Dutch border, via East Belgium to Troisvierges in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The route, which owes its name to the unique ‘High Fens’ nature reserve and has experienced an eventful history as the ‘Vennbahn’, has given a new purpose. The past glories of this once important railway link are still visible at various locations along the route, where panels with text and historic photos accentuate this theme.
The ‘Vennbahn’ has been chosen as Cycle Route of the Year 2014.

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
