Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival to Genk

    Arrival to Genk, to the cycling vacation in Belgium. Numerous painters from several eras have immortalized the heath landscape around the town in their paintings.

  • Day 2 - From Genk to Peer, approx. 65 km

    To kick off your cycling tour through Belgium, you will ride across the Kempen Plateau and straight through the impressive Mechelen Heath. One highlight is the almost 300 m long panoramic cycle bridge with sweeping views over the heathland. You will experience two of Limburg's famous themed trails: “Cycling through the heath” and “Cycling through the trees.” Through the forests and nature of the Hoge Kempen National Park, you will continue on to Peer. There, culture awaits you, for example at the Pieter Bruegel Museum.

  • Day 3 - From Peer to Turnhout, approx. 75 km

    Your cycling stage through the Belgian Kempen region starts historically in Hechtel and then leads into the nature of the Pijnven domain forest. At the highlight “Cycling through the trees,” you ride at eye level with the treetops. Along the canals and through the De Maat nature reserve, you roll relaxed towards Turnhout. The charming town is known as the center of Belgian playing card production.

  • Day 4 - From Turnhout to Antwerpen, approx. 60 km

    Today, your bike tour in Belgium takes you from Turnhout towards Antwerp. Along the way, you will pass the historic Merksplas, a former colony with impressive architecture and an eventful history. Via Oostmalle and Westmalle, you will cycle through the green landscapes of the Kempen. A break with a genuine Westmalle Trappist beer is a must here. Afterwards, you will continue your relaxed ride to the lively port and cultural city of Antwerp.

  • Day 5 - From Antwerpen to Leuven, approx. 70 km

    From Antwerp, you cycle through Berchem and Mortsel, passing one of the seven remaining Brialmont forts. The route becomes quieter and greener, passing the world-famous Rock Werchter festival site and its accompanying adventure museum in Rotselaar. Your destination is Leuven, Belgium's beer capital, known for its student life, magnificent Gothic town hall, and idyllic Grand Beguinage.

  • Day 6 - From Leuven to Diest, approx. 45 km

    Today, your cycling tour in Belgium takes you to Diest. In Tielt-Winge, you will discover the impressive floating viewing staircase before passing a picturesque wine castle. Via Scherpenheuvel, known for one of the oldest domed churches in the Netherlands, you will reach Diest. The city surprises with its historic beguinage and the idyllic Demer, whose banks invite you to take walks, cycle rides, and relaxing breaks.

  • Day 7 - From Diest to Genk, approx. 60 km

    The last stage of your cycling tour through Belgium treats you to pure nature. First, you cycle along Lake Schuler, an idyllic water recreation area, and then through the Weijers, the “land of 1001 ponds,” full of water, flora, and fauna. In Bokrijk, you can enjoy the unique experience of “cycling through water” – 212 meters at eye level with the water surface through a natural pond.

Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).

Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
25 % of the tour price up to the 21st day before departure
50% of the tour price from 20th to the 8th day before departure
75% of the tour price from the 7th to the 2nd day before departure
100% of the tour price from the 1st day before departure until the day of arrival

If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.
