Day 1 - Individual arrival in Rothenburg ob der Tauber
We recommend an early arrival on the first day of your cycling holidays to get to know the historic old town Rothenburg with its medieval flair. Example of hotel: Hotel Goldenes Fass in RothenburgDay 2 - From Rothenburg o.d.T. to Ansbach, approx. 50 km
In the morning the rental bikes will be handed out (if booked). Today you are cycling from the source of the Altmühltal through the valley via Hornau, Colmberg and Lehrberg to Ansbach. Your tour today leads you to Gunzenhausen and Karlsgraben, where Karl the Great tried to build a channel between the rivers Rhine and Danube. Short before you reach Markt Berolzheim you will leave the Altmühltal cycle path and continue to Weißenburg/Wettelsheim. The most spectacular landscape on your journey starts as you cycle through the Altmühltal Nature Park. You reach your destination for the day, Eichstätt, via the impressive Kerbtal valley. A tour worth seeing takes you through the Residenzplatz and Willibaldsburg in the episcopal and university town of Eichstätt. Along the river Altmuehl you will continue to Beilngries. The wonderful landscape of the widened Altmühl continues along the cycle path. You cycle past Walting and Arnsberg until you reach Kipfenberg. The cycle path leads you to Beilngries. Passing Dietfurt you will reach Riedenburg. We recommend you a visit in the crystal museum (included) with the world's largest mountain crystal. Along the river Main-Danube-channel you will cycle to the mouth of the Altmühl into the Danube. Your overnight stay is in the region of Kehlheim. Our tip for today: take the boat from Kelheim to Weltenburg Abbey and back. You will cross the fascinating Danube Gorge (not included, approx. &euro 16,00). Your cycle tour continues through Saal an der Donau and Bad Abbach to the 2000-year-old city of Regensburg. The city impresses with its medieval buildings and romantic alleyways. Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. As per law in the event of insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH the company refunds payments already made and additionally takes care of return transport, if originally included.
