Day 1 - Individual arrival in Rothenburg ob der Tauber
We recommend for your cycling holidays an early arrival to get to know the historic old town with its medieval flair. Example of hotel: Hotel Merian in RothenburgDay 2 - From Rothenburg o.d.T. to Herrieden/Ansbach, approx. 45-55 km
The cycle path leads through the upper Altmühltal valley with its tranquil landscape. You pass Comberg Castle and the small Altmühl town of Leutershausen until you reach today's destination Herrieden/Ansbach. You cycle leisurely along the Altmühl to the Altmühlsee, which invites you to take a well-earned break. You continue into the Altmühltal Nature Park, where you reach the historic towns of Weißenburg and Treuchtlingen. Your cycling tour starts from Treuchtlingen offering scenery from the wide and flat stream to a landscape with high Dolomite Rocks and the rugged Jura rock. The residence square and the Castle Willibaldsburg of Eichstätt are well-worth visiting on a side trip along the Altmühltal cycle path. You can enjoy the impressive landscape of the wide Altmühl during the cycle tour in Bavaria. The route takes you to Beilngries and then you cycle on to the town of Riedenburg. (You can shorten today's stage from Dietfurt to Riedenburg to approx. 55 km with a transfer. The transfer must be booked locally, details can be found in the travel documents). After breakfast, you start your last cycle tour. In Kelheim, we recommend a visit to the Liberation Hall. To reach the 2000-year-old city of Regensburg, cycle on along the Danube cycle path. Parking facilities
During your cycling holidays you can park your car at the hotel, approx. EUR 5,00 – EUR 10,00 per day or night. Next to the hotels there are also a few public garages and parking spaces.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 55,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
