Day 1 - Individual arrival in Bamberg
After your arrival we recommend a city round tour. Bamberg built and loved by the Emperor Henry II buried in the cathedral, is one of Europe's largest intact old town centers and an UNESCO world heritage site with great churches and breweries. In the afternoon, you receive your rental bike if booked for your bike tour.Day 2 - From Bamberg to Schweinfurt, approx. 60 km
The River Main cycle path leads you to the surroundings of Bamberg, from ‘Beer-Franconia” to “Wine-Franconia”. First evidence is the lovely wine village Zeil am Main, at the foot of Mt. Haßberg before you continue to Haßfurt, with its beautiful knight's chapel and the narrow lanes.Day 3 - From Schweinfurt to Volkach, approx. 30 km
Cycling along a well-developed cycle path continue through lovely, small romantic villages, great vineyards and meadows of River Main region. Enjoy during your cycle tour the specialities of Volkach, where also the best Franconian wine flourishes and grows.Day 4 - From Volkach to Würzburg, approx. 65 km
After a maybe, shorter night, enjoy cycling leisurely through the so-called “Main-loop”, enjoying the shadowy river meadows before you arrive via Kitzingen to the lively baroque and cultural city of Würzburg.Day 5 - From Würzburg to Lohr, approx. 60 km
Today you have three bike routes to choose. However, there is enough to see, whatever tour you choose. You cycle along the flat paths of the Main Cycle Route via the three-river town of Gemünden to Lohr.Day 6 - From Lohr to Wertheim, approx. 45 km
Through the typical countryside of the River Main cycle past castles and ruins. Miltenberg, well known for the so-called “Schnatterloch”, one of the most picturesque places in Germany and a great photo motive. The traditional timbered houses are also well worth seeing.Day 7 - From Wertheim to Aschaffenburg, approx. 75 km
After breakfast cycle through lovely vineyards towards the metropolis of Aschaffenburg. Already from the distance, you can see the four towers of Castle Johannisburg and impressive monuments, interesting museums and many other great sights await you in Aschaffenburg. You have the opportunity to shorten the stage by train from Miltenberg (approx. 36 km) or Klingenberg (approx. 51 km). The tickets are not included in the price.Day 8 - Individual departure or extra nights
Return transfer from your cycling holiday in Germany to Bamberg is every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 9 am (duration approx. 3 hours). Please see rates for more details. Example of hotel:

Security for your booking:
As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us.
We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

Travelers have to contact the liquidator within 8 weeks if they are denied claims due to the insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH. Details on the business license of OÖ Touristik GmbH can be found on the website https://www.gisa.gv.at/abfrage under the GISA number 14930096.
