During your cycle vacation at Lake Constance you discover appealing landscapes, fortresses and castles. You cycle on a cycling path in Germany and Switzerland through vineyards and orchards with fantastic views over the pre-alpine landscape – almost all the time far from street noise.
Based at only one hotel you explore the region daily in another direction. By use of the ships and ferry boats of Lake Constance you get to know almost all of the lake. All daily cycle tours can be designed individually. You can plan rest days as you like. Therefore this tour is perfectly suited for families.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Constance
Arrival to your cycle vacation at Lake Constance. On arrival day you can visit the flower island Mainau. Or roam along the streets of the old town of Constance with its narrow alleys, the cathedral and the harbour. Hotel example: Hotel Halm in ConstanceDay 2 - Constance–Meersburg–Lindau, approx. 50 km + boat and ferry crossing
You cross Lake Constance with the car ferry to Meersburg. Here you start with the first bike tour to Friedrichshafen. You cycle on the Lake Constance cycling path to Lindau while passing the little villages of Wasserburg and Nonnenhorn. In the afternoon return by boat to Constance.Day 3 - Trip to the island of Mainau, approx. 15 km
The destination of your cycle tour in Germany today is the flower island Mainau. Park, castle, palm garden, butterfly house, arboretum and many more attractions for the senses await you at the compound. There are no bikes allowed on the island, you can just park them at the entrance and reach the island via a bridge.Day 4 - Constance–Überlingen–Salem–Meersburg–Constance, approx. 55 km + boat and ferry crossing
In the morning you cycle to Wallhausen where you get on board the boat to Überlingen. The Lake Constance cycle path leads you along the shore to the cloister church Birnau. On the Prälaten path you cycle in modest pace to Salem, where you can visit the castle and the monkey mountain (not included) with over 200 half wild Barbary apes. Return by car ferry from Meersburg to Constance.Day 5 - Constance–Island Reichenau–Stein am Rhein–Constance, approx. 50 km + boat crossing
On the last day of your cycle holiday in Germany you go to the island of Reichenau, which is UNESCO cultural heritage since 2001. Boat trip to Gaienhofen on Höri pensinsula where you can visit the Hermann-Hesse-House. Afterwards cycle tour to Switzerland towards Stein am Rhein. The return path leads through little fishing villages to Constance.Day 6 - Individual departure

You can leave your car for your cycling holiday at Lake Constance either at the starting hotel (depending on availability, subject to a charge, details in the travel documents) or in free parking spaces on public roads or in public car parks (costs approx. € 25,00/day). Furthermore, there is a fenced and locked private parking space for € 49,00 per stay and car (this parking space must be reserved and paid for in advance).
Note for people with limited mobility:
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
You do not have to make any advance payments to us up to 4 weeks before departure. Please mind the payment conditions in your booking confirmation/invoice
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival or later
If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties.
