Day 1 - Individual arrival in Passau
After your individual arrival for your cycling holiday check-in and you receive your travel documents. Handover of your rented bicycle for your bike tour takes place in our bike center. Example of hotel: Hotel Passauer Wolf in PassauDay 2 - From Passau to Schlögener Schlinge, approx. 50 km
On the Danube Cycle Path you cycle through the idyllic Upper Danube Valley downstream past Engelhartszell to the well-known Schlögener Schlinge. Example of hotel: Revita Hotel Kocher in St. AgathaDay 3 - From Schlögener Schlinge to Linz, approx. 45 km
Leaving forested hills behind and cycle through the fruitful region of the Eferdinger Becken to Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. Example of hotel: Courtyard by Marriott in LinzDay 4 - From Linz to Grein/Bad Kreuzen, approx. 60 km
Do not miss a sightseeing tour in Linz before your bike tour continues in direction Strudengau. There is a lot to see along your cycle route: Enns, Austria's oldest city, an untouched riparian meadowland and finally the lovely baroque town of Grein. Today you cycle through the impressive landscape of the Strudengau and Nibelungengau until you reach the Wachau Valley. During a boat trip from Melk to Spitz marvel at the picturesque villages and fortresses admits the wide stretched vineyards. Leave the Wachau with its impressive vineyards behind and cycle comfortably along the cycle path along the Danube to Tulln. From there you take a short train ride to Vienna. Immerse yourself in the metropolis and visit the world-famous sights such as Schönbrunn Palace, the Prater, the Ringstrasse or St. Stephen's Cathedral. Return from your cycling holidays along River Danube's cycle path to Passau, in Season A and B by train (transfer of your own bikes not included), in Season C by bus (transfer of your own bikes included) or on request by train (transfer of your own bikes not included).
Parking possibilities during your cycle holiday along the Danube cycle path:
In Passau, the car can be parked in a car park for the duration of the cycle tour.
Locked and covered multi-storey car park: € 12,00 per day
Multi-storey car park with electric hook-up: € 12,00 per day plus € 30,00 one-off charging fee
Enclosed and uncovered car park: € 8,00 per day
(Car park or parking space must be reserved in advance with the bike tour booking, payable on site)
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

Cycle Path - Austrian Danube
Length: The Danube Cycle Path in Austria - starting in Passau and finishing in Vienna - is 326 kilometers long.
Route description: The Danube cycle path Passau - Vienna is very well developed. The Danube cycle path in Austria is asphalted practically everywhere. You cycle along roads with little traffic on your bike tours, usually even on both sides of the river.
Signposting: On your cycle tour in Austria, follow the special signposts. The cycle paths in Upper and Lower Austria are marked with green, rectangular signs. The Danube cycle path in Austria is marked as such by name in most cases. (R1 in Upper Austria). Regional cycle paths connect to it.
Sights along the Danube Cycle Path Passau - Vienna
Passau: The city of three rivers welcomes you warmly on your cycle tour in Austria. This is where the Ilz and Inn flow into the Danube, causing it to swell into a mighty river. In Passau, the picturesque old town invites you to take a tour before the start of your cycle tour in Austria, which will certainly take you to Passau Cathedral with the largest church organ in the world. The Veste Oberhaus towers high above Passau.
Engelszell Abbey: Austria's only Trappist monastery is located almost directly on the Danube Cycle Path. In addition to the beautiful collegiate church, you should also visit the store on your cycling vacation in Austria, which sells excellent liqueurs from the monastery's own production.
Schlögener Schlinge: A mighty natural spectacle can be seen directly on the Danube cycle path during your cycle tour from Passau to Vienna. The river meanders around an extremely resistant rock formation. The short but steep climb to Schlögener Blick is definitely worth it. Wachau: The UNESCO World Heritage region of Wachau stretches between Melk and Krems in Lower Austria. The Danube Cycle Path leads directly through this famous Lower Austrian wine region. Even the Romans cultivated wine in terraces to the left and right of the Danube. Don't miss out on a visit to a wine tavern to sample the tangy Grüner Veltliner. Melk Benedictine Abbey can be seen from afar from the Danube Cycle Path. It impresses with its magnificent rooms and a well-known abbey library.
Vienna: Austria's capital is the destination of your cycle tour along the Danube Cycle Path. Numerous sights invite you to visit: Schönbrunn Park and Palace, the Prater, the Ringstrasse with its numerous magnificent buildings, the Hofburg and much more.
