Day 1 - Individual arrival in Stralsund
Arrival on your cycling holiday on the Baltic Sea cycle path. Stralsund is connected to the sea and is the door to the island Rügen. You start the first cycling stage of your cycling holiday by cycling over the old Rügendamm. Your route leads past the Kubitzer Bodden and further through the west of the island to Bergen. Take the opportunity today to look out over the entire island from the observation tower. Your second stop today is Putbus, known as the planned residence of Prince Malte zu Putbus. The Entrance of the Mönchgut is marked with a huge wooden door. Take a rest at the Zickerschen Mountain with its beautiful grassland and juniper heather. Today you cycle past the heights of the Granitz, which will remind you of the German mountain range. The Granitz hunting lodge is worth a visit if you want a fascinating view of the Baltic Sea. Today you explore the famous chalk cliffs of the island Rügen. Use the time and visit the Königsstuhl National Park Center with its Chalk Coast adventure world. The beech forests along the Baltic Sea invite you to take a walk. If you continue along the path you will see Kap Arkona. The ship takes you through the lagoon landscape to the island of Hiddensee. A short hike to the heights of the Dornbusch is worthwhile. Cycle along the dikes or heath paths across the car-free island. In the afternoon you take the ferry back to Stralsund. Parking facilities
Arrival in Stralsund is possible by train or own car. You can park your car either at the hotel for around € 5,00 - € 15,00 per day (depending on availability, no reservation possible), or in a parking garage at the Hotel Intercity in Stralsund (weekly ticket for approx. € 35,00, depending on availability, no advance reservation, payable on site).
Security for your booking:
As a tour operator, the safety, well-being and health of our customers are top priorities for us. We are constantly monitoring the current situation and are in close contact with official authorities. In the event of travel changes, we will inform you immediately. If an official travel warning is issued on your arrival date for your destination or your home town, you can of course cancel your trip free of charge or change your booking to another date.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 30 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 29th to 21st day before arrival date
60% of the tour price from 20th to 7th day before arrival date
80% of the tour price from 6th to first day before arrival date
90% of the tour price on the day of arrival or “no show”
If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
