The BergeSeen eTrail stretches over 630 km and 14,500 vertical meters along the entire route. The most beautiful places in the Salzkammergut await you on the selected stages of this adapted mountain bike tour.

Day 1 - individual journey to the wolfgangsee

A morning swim in Lake Wolfgangsee is a refreshing start to the first stage. Take the old toll road up to the Postalm, the largest contiguous alpine pasture area in Austria. Tip: We recommend stopping off at one of the rustic huts on the high plateau. The old Postalm road takes you down into the Lammertal valley at a rapid pace. You then wind your way up the Hornspitz via numerous hairpin bends before the final descent to Gosau awaits. A few impressive trail sections await you on this stage, which are also easy to tackle on an e-MTB. Via the picturesque Lake Gosau with views of the majestic Dachstein, you cycle up to the Rossalm, the highest point of the day. You cycle past numerous waterfalls in the Echerntal valley and soon reach Hallstatt. Following the Ostuferweg, you reach Bad Goisern. Tip: pack your swimming trunks and take a refreshing dip in the lake. You conquer the Pötschen Pass on moderate forest paths before finally arriving in Bad Aussee. Rock faces, steep slopes and magnificent views are characteristic of this section. Shortly after the start, the trail climbs up to the Blaa Alm and over into the Rettenbachtal valley (refreshment stop for foodies). The trail continues steeply uphill through the Vorderer Sandlinggraben. Fantastic views of the Dachstein and Lake Hallstatt beckon as a reward. The impressive Eternal Wall shows you the way to Bad Goisern while mountain biking. You return to Lake Wolfgangsee via Bad Ischl. Your luggage will reach your hotel by 5.30 pm at the latest.
Note for people with reduced mobility:
The cycle tour is generally not suitable for people with reduced mobility. However, individual customer requests are possible in individual cases (e.g. rooms suitable for the disabled).
Passport and visa requirements:
A valid passport or identity card is required for the hotel check-in.
Special entry requirements may apply for foreign nationals (outside the Schengen area). Each traveler is responsible for obtaining a visa in good time.
Payment conditions:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due no later than 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The remaining payment is due 14 days before departure.
Cancellation and withdrawal conditions:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer can withdraw from the contract in writing at any time. In the event of withdrawal or non-commencement of the trip, the following withdrawal fees apply
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from the 27th to the 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from the 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the travel price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
In the event of rebooking by the customer (change of travel date, tour, duration, transfer due to change in the person of the travel participant, etc.) up to 28 days before departure, which is not within our sphere of responsibility, we charge a processing fee of € 50.00 per booking. Thereafter, the cancellation conditions apply. Such a rebooking can only be made according to the possibilities in the individual case; the customer has no claim to this.
