Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Trier

    Arrival for your cycling holiday on the Moselle cycle path and check-in. Enjoy a tour through the historic city centre, past the Kaiserthermen “Emperor's Therme” and the Porta Nigra on your arrival day. The next day you start your cycle tour along the Moselle cycle path. If you have booked a rental bike, you will receive it at the arrival hotel. Example of hotel: Hotel Zur Post in Trier
  • Day 2 - Trier/Ruwertal–Neumagen-Dhron, approx. 39 km

    You will leave Germany's oldest city on the cycle path along the Moselle. You cycle past the old ferry tower until you reach Rhineland-Palatinate from Schweich to Mehring. The cycle tour along the Moselle takes you on to Trittenheim. Here you can find interesting information on the wine educational trail about a winegrower's working year, local grape varieties and vine rearing. Enjoy the last part of your cycle tour along the Moselle cycle path until you reach your destination Piesport. Example of hotel: Weingut Lehnert-Veit in Piesport
  • Day 3 - Neumagen-Dhron–Burg/Reil, approx. 53 km

    During today's cycle tour along the Moselle cycle path, you will see the 2 famous Moselle towns of Bernkastel-Kues, with the popular picture book market square and Traben-Trarbach and the beautiful wine-growing region of “Kröver Nacktarsch”. Enjoy a boat tour in Traben-Trarbach on your cycling holiday in Germany to end the day comfortably. Example of hotel: Central Hotel in Traben-Trarbach
  • Day 4 - Burg/Reil-Pommern, approx. 57 km

    In today's stage destination Cohem, during your cycle holiday in Germany, a visit of the picturesque centre as well as the Reichsburg (11th century) is really very recommendable. Example of hotel: Hotel Noss in Cochem
  • Day 5 - Pommern–Koblenz, approx. 40 km

    In the morning you can cycle an additional 4 km to the medieval castle of Eltz. It is one of the most beautiful and best preserved castles in Germany. Then continue your bike tour along the Moselle cycle path to the historic wine village of Kobern Gondorf. Enjoy the last stage of your cycle tour in Germany with a visit to the famous wine town of Winningen, before you cycle directly to Koblenz. Example of hotel: City Hotel Hamm in Koblenz

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
