  • Day 2 - Amsterdam–Enkhuizen, approx. 89 km

Today cycle via the dikes to the former fishing village of Volendam, which has kept its authentic atmosphere and is a magnet for foreign tourists. Continue up the coast to Edam, Hoorn and then Enkhuizen. Beautiful buildings are reminders of the prosperous 17th century Golden Age when they were affluent harbour towns, focussed on trade and shipbuilding. Example of hotel: Hotel Koepoort - Enkhuizen
  • Day 3 - Enkhuizen–Giethoorn, approx. 73 km + a ferry ride

From Enkhuizen cross the Ijsselmeer Lake with a ferry (duration approx. 1,5hrs) to the southwest of the Frisian province, to the lovely town of Stavoren. Cycle further through the wooded, hilly countryside of Gaasterland, past Lemmer before you reach the national park “De Weerribben”. This National Park is a unique peat land area with an exceptional wealth of characteristic flora and fauna before you reach via Blokzijl to Giethoorn. Tip: Boat trip with the so-called “Punter” through this beautiful romantic town. Example of hotel: Hotel De Harmonie in Giethoorn
  • Day 4 - Giethoorn–Harderwijk, approx. 83 km

You follow the cycle path in Frisian to the national park in Zwartsluis. • Day 6 - Individual departure or extra nights

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
