  • Day 1 - Individual arrival in Innsbruck

The cycling holidays start with an information meeting, check-in and hand over of rented bikes if booked. Take the opportunity to visit Innsbruck's famous landmark the golden roof, “Goldenes Dachl” in the old quarter.
  • Day 2 - Innsbruck–Imst, approx. 60 km

Enjoy cycling along the River Inn, on the foot of the „Martinswand“, through small Tyrolean villages past the baroque Monastery of Stams via Haiming to Imst, the so-called Meran of the North Tyrol.
  • Day 3 - Imst–Burgeis/Mals/Glurns, approx. 55 km by bike and approx. 50 km by bus

Along River Inn the cycle route leads past Zams Abbey to Landeck, where a shuttle bus brings you to Nauders am Reschenpass. Enjoy the beautiful view across Lake Reschensee and continue downwards on side paths to Mals or Burgeis on the foot of Marienburg.
  • Day 4 - Burgeis/Mals/Glurns–Meran approx. 60 km

This bike route leads to Glurns, with its complete preserved medieval town wall via Schlanders down to Meran. Fortresses and castles (Castle Juval of the mountaineer Reinhold Messner) are situated along the cycle route or high above and the impressive view onto Mt. Ortler massif and Stilfserjoch can be enjoyed while cycling. Since 2004 the Vinschgau railway is operating again between Mals and Meran so a part of the distance can be covered almost at any time just as you like.
  • Day 5 - Passeiertal Valley/Meran, approx. 40 km

Today you will have the possibility to discover the Passeiertal valley, (birth place of the innkeeper and patriot Andreas Hofer), or enjoy a hiking tour along the famous Tappeiner path or stroll through the arches of Meran.
  • Day 6 - Meran–region of Lake Kalterer See/Auer, approx. 50 km

The cycle route continues along the Southern Tyrol wine route past some vast fruit plantations, castles, fortresses and ruins as well as Lana and St. Paul to Kaltern, Tramin or Auer where you stay overnight.
  • Day 7 - region of Lake Kalterer See/Auer–Bolzano, approx. 30 km

From the picturesque winegrowing villages flat through the Adige Valley or (more beautiful landscape but with a higher climb) via the Montiggler Lakes, past Sigmundskron to Bolzano.
  • Day 8 - Individual departure or extra nights

Return transfer from your cycling holidays by bus to Innsbruck possible every Saturday (please see rates).

OÖ Touristik GmbH

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 25 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
