Day 1 - Individual arrival in DonaueschingenYou arrive for your cycling holidays in Donaueschingen. The lovely town characterized with the former baronial Fürstenbergische Residence. Example of hotel: Hotel zum Hirschen in Donaueschingen
Day 2 - Donaueschingen–Fridingen, approx. 55 kmThe first cycle route leads you through the so-called “Baar“ landscape. In Immendingen you will be able to visit an important natural phenomenon: the sinking of River Danube. Here the river disappears beneath the porous chalk rock for the majority of the year to flow into the Rhine. After Tuttlingen enjoy cycling along the Danube cycle path through the narrower Danube Valley to Beuron, well-known for its Benedictine Monastery. Example of hotel: Gasthaus Jägerhaus in Fridingen
Day 3 - Fridingen–Obermarchtal, approx. 90 kmEnjoy cycling along the Danube cycle path between steep rock walls to the old residence town of Sigmaringen. Continue from here your cycle route to Riedlingen enjoying a beautiful view across Oberschwaben. The Danube cycle path leads to Zwiefaltendorf with the beautiful Wasserburg. Today you stay in Obermarchtal, where you can visit the oldest baroque church from Oberschwaben. Example of hotel: Gasthof Berghofstüble in Obermarchtal
Day 4 - Obermarchtal–Blaubeuren–Ulm, approx. 65 kmToday you have a choice along your cycling tour in Baden-Württemberg. Cycling from Ehingen you follow the Danube or you choose the more attractive bike route via the Blautal valley. Example of hotel: Hotel am Rathaus in Ulm
Day 5 - Ulm–Donauwörth, approx. 90 kmThe first stage of the bike route leads along asphalt paths to Donauwörth. The villages are mainly located somewhat off the beaten track on hills protected from the river floodwaters. Those who wish can take a break of cycling in one of the well-maintained villages. In Donauwörth the Danube was once most important trading place between Nürnburg and Augsburg. Example of hotel: Hotel Donau in Donauwörth
Day 6 - Donauwörth–Ingolstadt, approx. 65 kmToday the bike tour leads along well-maintained paths and just before Marxheim you come to the foothills of the Franconian Jura with some gentle hills. On this cycle route along River Danube don't miss a visit to the old town of Neuburg before continuing towards Ingolstadt, where a visit to the Mobile Museum is well-worth it. Day 7 - Ingolstadt–Regensburg, approx. 85 km + ship rideThe cycling tour leads mainly directly through the Danube floodplains alongside the river. Near Bad Gögging you reach the ancient Roman cultural landscape, in Weltenburg the famous monastery and the majestic Danube Gap. Continue your bike tour to Regensburg German's best preserved city and UNESCO-world heritage. Example of hotel: Hotel Münchner Hof in Regensburg
Day 8 - Regensburg–Deggendorf, approx. 90 kmYou should take your first break of today's bike tour at the Walhalla Temple near Donaustauf before you continue along River Danube which curves along the broad, flat landscape in generous meanders. Cycling past Straubing in the so-called “Gäuboden” landscape you continue to Deggendof, well-known as door to the “bayrischen Wald”. Example of hotel: Hotel-Gasthof Höttl in Deggendorf
Day 9 - Deggendorf–Passau, approx. 60 kmThe last cycling day along the Danube cycle path starts and leads you to the Benedict Monastery Niederaltaich and to Vilshofen. In the beautiful Three-River-City of Passau, your adventurous cycling holidays ends. Example of hotel: Hotel Residenz in Passau
Day 10 - Individuelle Heimreise oder Zusatznächte
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
You do not have to make any advance payments to us up to 4 weeks before departure. Please mind the payment conditions in your booking confirmation/invoice.
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show”
If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.
This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

Cycle Route - The German Danube
Length: The cycling tour in Germany along the Danube Cycle Path from Donaueschingen to Ulm is about 200 km long, from Ulm to Passau about 400 km.
Level of difficulty: Donaueschingen - Ulm: The course of the route along the Danube Cycle Path is practically "top flat" and runs mainly on well paved or on waterlogged cycle paths in Germany.
Signage: There is a uniform, very good signage on the Danube Cycle Path in Germany.
Ulm-Passau: The German Danube Cycle Path is mostly unpaved, but has a very passable surface throughout. Your bike trip in Germany on this section of the Danube Cycle Path runs without any notable climbs, mostly car-free.
Sights along the Danube Cycle Path in Germany:
The Black Forest, Beuron Monastery, Sigmaringen Castle, Ulm with the famous Ulm Minster, Ingolstadt and Regensburg with the Valhalla, which is easily visible from the Danube Cycle Path. The bike tour on the Danube Cycle Path in Germany ends in the 3 rivers city of Passau.
