Day 1 - Individual arrival in Passau
The cycling holidays start in Passau in Germany. Check-in and you receive your travel documents. Handover of your rented bike for your cycling tour takes place in our bike centre. Example of hotel: Hotel Passauer Wolf**** in PassauDay 2 - Passau–Schlögener Schlinge/surroundings, approx. 40 km
You will be enchanted by the charm of the three-river-city of Passau, before you start your bike tour along the Upper Danube Valley towards Schlögen. Admire the massive spectacle of the Danube flow in Upper Austria, where the river winds around the granite rock from Mühlviertel Region. Your bike tour continues along the Danube cycle path always directly besides the river. Example of hotel: Revita Hotel Kocher**** in St. AgathaDay 3 - Schlögener Schlinge/surroundings–Linz, approx. 55 km
This stage of your Danube cycling tour starts at the meander Schlögener Schlinge. Leaving the forested hills behind cycling through the fruitful region of the „Eferdinger Becken“, to Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. In the evening visit the great tourist attractions of Linz and taste some of the delicious Linzer Torte. There is a lot to see while cycling along this cycle route of the Danube cycle path: Enns, oldest city of Austria, untouched meadows and finally the picturesque baroque town of Grein. Example of hotel: Hotel Aumühle**** in GreinDay 5 - Grein/Bad Kreuzen–Melk/Emmersdorf, approx. 50 km
Enjoy your cycling holidays in Austria, while cycling through the impressive landscape of the Strudengau and Nibelungengau before reaching the well-known Wachau Valley. After today's successful bike tour along the Danube cycle path some delicious wine is recommended of the Wachau Valley. Example of hotel: Hotel Wachau**** in MelkDay 6 - Melk/Emmersdorf–Krems/surroundings, approx. 40 km
You start your cycling tour along the Danube cycle path through the Wachau valley, pass well-known villages such as Weißenkirchen and Dürnstein and Krems, which are also well-known as wine-destinations. Tip: Take a break at one of the traditional wine taverns offering tasty local specialties. Example of hotel: Arte Hotel**** in KremsDay 7 - Krems/surroundings–Vienna, approx. 45 km by bike and 40 km by train
On your last cycling day you cycle to Tulln, where you take the train to Vienna, Austria's capital, where a great variety of sights await you: magnificent buildings along the Ringstraße, Palace Schönbrunn, the Prater with the Giant Ferry Wheel and of course the traditional Viennese coffee houses. Return from your cycling holidays along River Danube's cycle path to Passau, in Season A and B by train (transfer of your own bike not included), in Season C you have the possibility to return to Passau either by bus (transfer of your own bike included) or by train (transfer of your own bike not included)
Information Coronavirus – Security for your booking:
Free cancellation option
If you decide and book a trip early, but do not want to travel due to the coronavirus, you can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before departure. You will not pay any booking or cancellation fees.
Travel warning
We are constantly monitoring the current situation and will inform you in case of travel changes. If an official travel warning is issued for your destination or you are unable to enter or leave the country, your trip will be cancelled or rebooked free of charge.
No payments until 4 weeks before arrival
You do not have to make any advance payments until 4 weeks before arrival.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
You do not have to make any advance payments to us up to 4 weeks before departure. Please mind the payment conditions in your booking confirmation/invoice.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to 28 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before arrival date
50% of the tour price from 13th to 8th day before arrival date
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show”
If the customer makes changes to the booking (date of travel, tour, duration, transfer of the booking to another person etc.) up to 28 days before departure, for reasons which are outside our control, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,- per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

In case of a booking your announced data will be only used from OÖ Touristik GmbH for the process of bookings and related transactions and will be passed on only in the context of the contractual relationship to third parties. This ensures that you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to packages. Company OÖ Touristik GmbH will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, the company OÖ Touristik GmbH has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.
