By bike & boat in Italy

A cycle tour in Italy under the radiant Mediterranean sun takes you to magical places. Stroll through the lagoon city of Venice on a cycling vacation on the Mediterranean, feed the pigeons on St. Mark's Square and admire the Doge's Palace while the gondoliers move their black gondolas through the canals. Ferrara is the stronghold of bicycles in Italy. On your cycle tours through Ferrara, the City of Cyclists, you will discover the Renaissance old town and cycle along the 9-kilometre-long city wall. On the cycle paths in Veneto and Lombardy, you will reach Mantua, which looks like an island thanks to its four surrounding lakes.

The Ave Maria and the Vita Pugna, your accompanying hotel ships, welcome you after your daily cycle tours in Italy with a delicious meal of Mediterranean cuisine. If you prefer a rest day during your cycling vacation in Veneto and Lombardy, that's no problem. While the other participants get on their bikes for another cycle tour in the Po Valley, you can enjoy the day on the sun deck.

In 1990 the OÖ Touristik performed a pioneering work on the sector of organised cycle holidays: the first bookable cycle tour along the Danube including luggage transfer. Already a year later we offered the first group tours. Over the years the offers of the cycle holidays has expanded throughout Europe and are as popular as ever. During the last 30 years we have expanded the portfolio on mountain bike tours, cycle holidays by bike and boat, group tours and hiking holidays as well as winter and wellness holidays. The organisation and handling of international congresses and events meanwhile adds to the successful enterprise sections.
