from/to Enkhuizen By bike & boat - 2019 - Mare Fan Fryslân
Experience pure nature on one of the most beautiful sailors of the IJssel and Wadden Sea, the Mare Fan Fryslân, on your bike and boat trip in Holland: sea, wind, salt on your skin and lots of sun on your bike holiday and on the sun deck. The Wadden Sea is a unique and protected natural space, which fascinates by the expanse of its landscape and the barrenness. The great recreational value on the cycle and boat trip in the West Frisian Wadden Sea is essentially supported by the tranquility and the clean iodine-containing air. The cycling and boat trip starts in Enkhuizen, a pretty harbour town with a historic old town. Other points on the cycling itinerary are the islands of Texel and Terschelling, which have a lot to offer: picturesque villages, the "Brandaris", the oldest lighthouse in the Netherlands, and the moorland, which is characterised by mud, beaches and dunes. If the winds are favourable, Vlieland - a real natural island - can also be reached on cycling holidays in Holland. This is the smallest of the Wadden islands, with only one single location also completely car-free. The magnificent view from the "Vuurboetsduin" dune is the true highlight of the cycle and boat trip in the West Frisian Sea: the 45-metre-high dune is also the highest point of the West Frisian Islands.
