This bike and boat tour leads you through a region that’s one of the most beloved among Dutch cyclists. Every day you will get to know more of its numerous historical cities, beautiful river landscapes and diverse natural areas. You cycle along the important trading route – it thrived during the Middle Ages, when the rivers Rhine and Ijssel were among the most important trade routes in Europe. Many of the cities along their bands were members of the Hanseatic League.
Every evening you will return to your boat the De Nassau, docked in a picturesque harbour along the route of your cycling journey.

Day 1 - Individual arrival to AmsterdamIndividual arrival in Amsterdam for your bike and boat holiday. The Crew and the Captain welcomes you on board between 1 and 2 pm. The De Nassau sails at 2 pm. From Amsterdam to Wijk bij Duurstede, a town on the Rhine River.
Day 2 - Wijk bij Duurstede–Wageningen–Arnheim, approx. 35 – 44 kmDuring the breakfast, the De Nassau sails to Wageningen. From there your first cycling tour takes you through the lovely valley of the Lower Rhine river, and then on trough the Veluwe, a large area of woods and heathlands. At the end of the day, you cycle to Arnheim, via suburbs and past the lovely parks named Sonsbeek and Zijpendaal. Close to the center of this former Hanseatic city, the De Nassau docks for the night.
Day 3 - Arnheim–Doesburg–Zutphen–Deventer, approx. 45- 55 kmYou leave Arnheim on board of the De Nassau, and then you cycle tour starts in the small town of Doesburg. Today you have two options to cycle to Zutphen and Deventer. The shorter cycling route goes along the river Ijssel to Bronkhorst, a seeming hamlet that's proud to be the smallest town in Holland. From Bronkhorst you continue to Zutphen along the riverbank. The longer tour goes via Vorden, where you will be passing lovely county houses, castles and rural estates. Both tours are ending in Deventer, a city known for its delicious spicy gingerbread.
Day 4 - Deventer–Wijhe–Zwolle–Kampen, approx. 40 - 56 kmEarly in the morning, the De Nassau take you to Wijhe, where you start your cycling tour. Today you will enjoy a beautiful bicycle ride to Hattem. You can choose version along the banks of the river, or a longer tour across the east Veluwe area. From Hattam it is only a short ride to the city of Zwolle, one of the most beautiful Hanseatic cities. From Zwolle you continue to Kampen. In the evening, an optional guided walking tour takes you to some of the most interesting sights in this largest Hanseatic town in the Netherlands.
Day 5 - Kampen–Elburg–Harderwijk, approx. 48 kmToday your cycling tour leads along the Border Lakes to the fishing harbour of Elburg. In the summer months many popular water sport activities awaits you there. From Elburg the cycling tour leads you through the woods and moorlands of the Veluwes to the lovely town Harderwijk, where the night will be spend in its old fishing harbour. In the 1500s Harderwijk boasted the largest fish market in the Zuiderzee region.
Day 6 - Harderwijk–Spakenburg–Huizen, approx. 45-56 kmToday you have the possibility to choose again between two routes. A shorter cycling tour goes along the coast of the Border Lakes. The longer tour is a combination of the coast route and a longer alternative that runs thought adjacent woodlands. In the afternoon, you will pass Spakenburg, a fishing village well known for its traditional costumes that are worn to this day.
Day 7 - Huizen–Naarden–Muiden–Amsterdam, approx. 35 kmHuizen is the starting point of your last cycling tour during your holiday in Holland. You cycle to the beautiful fortress towns of Naarden and Muiden. The latter is famous for its historic castle on the waterfront. From Muiden you cycle along quiet roads to your final destination, the world famous city Amsterdam. You have the afternoon and evening to spend time in the city.
Day 8 - Individual departure to AmsterdamAfter breakfast disembarkation from the DE Nassau until 9:30 am and individual departure from your bike and boat holiday in Holland.

The De Nassau is a comfortable riverboat, which was partly renovated and restyled in the summer of 2018. In the large salon on the upper deck, with a large panoramic window, you will find the restaurant, bar and lounge area. This is a great place where you can enjoy after a cycling day.
Unless there is sun, then you should go to the partially roofed sun deck, where chairs and sun loungers invite for a stay. The De Nassau offers 22 Twin cabins on the lower deck and 12 Twin cabins on the upper deck.
