You cycle along the green polder landscape through historic towns and romantic villages. You can expect some of the old trading towns from the heyday of Dutch, such as Enkhuizen, Hoorn or Moonickendam. But also different national parks belong to the scenic highlights of this combined bike and boat tour.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in AmsterdamEmbarkation from 2 pm and as soon as all guests are on board the Elizabeth, your bike and boat starts with a trip to the fishing village of Monnickendam. Enjoy your first cycling tour at the Ijsselmeer through the rural nature reserve Waterland.
Day 2 - Monnickendam–Volendam–Hoorn, approx. 32–51 kmAfter breakfast you start your cycling tour to a cheese dairy and a wooden-shoe workshop. After your visit, you cycle to the old dikes to Purmurend in the heart of the “De Beemster” poldern a former lake, converted into pastureland. The landscape you are in lies 3, 5 m below sea level and is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. You cycle to Voldenam, where after a short walk along the harbour you go on board the clipper Elizabeth again and go by ship to Hoorn.
Day 3 - Hoorn–Enkhuizen–Urk, approx. 28–39 kmOn today´s cycling tour you cycle through rural hamlets and villages to Enkhuizen. Enkhuizen was one of the richest cities of Holland. Impressive mansions, canals, churches and city walls reflect the history of the city. In the afternoon the ship sails in fine weather over the Ijsselmeer to the traditional fishing village of Urk. You can spend the evening in the narrow alleys of the picturesque village.
Day 4 - Urk–Vollenhove, approx. 37 kmAfter your breakfast you start your cycling along the lake on a tarmacked cycle path to the former island of Schokland. Also Schokland are since 1995 one of the UNESCO-World Heritage Site. Continue on the beautiful cycle path to reach the former fishing village of Vollenhove.
Day 5 - Vollenhove–Giethoorn, approx. 37 - 49 kmToday you cycle from Vollenhove to the little town of Blokzijl. There the biggest freshwater wetlands of Northern Europe's National Park Weeribben-Wieden begins. It is also an oasis of plants, animals and people. Through the park you will reach Kalenberg a small village, which was only accessible by boat in the fifties. Through an agricultural region, you first cycle to the town of Giethoorn, “the little venice of the north” where your ship is already waiting for you.
Day 6 - Giethoorn–LelystadEnjoy your journey on board the Clipper Elizabeth (approx. 4 hrs) to Lelystad, the capital of the province of Flevoland. Lelystad has been obtained purely by drainage and embankment from the sea. Here you can visit the Bavaria shipyard, an impressive facility where you can see a faithfully reproduced East India sailing ship.
Day 7 - Lelystad–Blocq van Kuffeler–Amsterdam, approx. 20-39 kmToday you have the last day of cycling on you bike and boat tour on board the Clipper Elizabeth. You start in Lelystad, to a very deep polder region, through wooded as well as grass and swamp areas to Oostvaardersplassen. The Clipper Elizabeth already awaits you in the little harbour for your return journey to Amsterdam.
Day 8 - Individual departure from AmsterdamDisembarkation until 9.30 am.
Note for people with limited mobility
The cycle tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 7 days before arrival.
The general travel conditions of 1992 apply with following cancellation conditions: Prior to arrival the customer can cancel in written form at any time the booked arrangement. In case of cancellation or no show we charge following fees:
20% of the tour price up to 84 days before arrival date
30% of the tour price from 83rd to 42nd day before arrival date
60% of the tour price from 41th to 28th day before arrival date
80% of the tour price from 27th to 4th day before arrival date
90% of the tour price from 3rd day before arrival date to the day of arrival or “no show”
In case the booking is changed from the customer himself (change of date, duration of the tour or participant) up to 28 days prior arrival, a handling fee of € 50,- per booking is charged.
Thereafter the previous cancellation conditions apply. Such a change of booking is only in individual cases a possibility customers do not have a claim on it.

You sail and sleep on the 1913 built 3-must clipper Elizabeth. By the rebuilding, special attention was paid to preserve its originality of the typical Dutch flat-bottomed ship. Comfortable cabins under deck are provide and a ship bar and a big salon are on board.
The Clipper Elizabeth has 10 guest cabins with 2 single beds. All cabins are with shower/WC, 220-V socket and a porthole.
